Fall 2016 | The Lord Speaks

In the fall of 2016 the Lord began to give us markers. First we believed He told us He would give us more instruction after the presidential election. When the election was over, He instructed us to live, eat, and breathe Romans 12:1-2, which says, “I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable, to God, which is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”

November 2016 – January 2017

From November 2016 to January 2017 our time together became more focused. The Lord again spoke to us in January and said He would show us after the inauguration what He had been preparing.

January 23, 2017 | Holy Spirit Moves

The inauguration was on January 20th. We gathered together on Monday evening the 23rd. Normally our times together would end between 8:30 pm and 9:00 pm. That night was different. Intercession and worship were very intense. Jerry was on his knees praying. Johnny and Leslie laid hands on him and began to pray. Jerry fell over on the floor and stayed there for about 45 minutes. Johnny and Leslie went over to the couch and did the same with Joyce, Jerry’s wife. After praying, Joyce said the Lord had done something so deeply in her that she would never be the same. We continued worshipping until around midnight. Jerry and Joyce were so affected by what happened on Monday night that they stayed home the rest of the week reading their bibles, praying, and worshipping God.

January 27, 2017

Friday morning, January 27th, Jerry’s granddaughter and great granddaughter came to visit. When they left Jerry picked up his bible to read. He had been reading in Psalms all week. His bible fell open to Psalm 39 and and he noticed a wet spot on the page that had soaked through to Psalm 63. He asked Joyce if the great granddaughter had spilled something on his bible. Joyce told him the baby had not had anything to drink. Later that afternoon Jerry and Joyce took the bible over to Johnny and Leslie’s home. They all agreed it was oil.

February 2017 | The Oil Begins To Flow

Over the next couple of weeks the oil moved through the bible from Psalm 39 through the book of Revelation and even into the back of the bible on the maps and the concordance. The oil stopped then appeared at the front of the bible in Genesis 1. It continued to move through the Old Testament to where it started in Psalm 39. It then began to saturate the whole bible. Jerry placed the bible in a gallon size Ziploc bag. When the oil began to fill the bag, we then placed the bag in a plastic container. Once in the container, the oil began to flow even more, filling that container.

April 2017 – Present

The bible is now in its fourth container. As the container fills up, Jerry takes the oil and puts it in containers until we get together and fill vials. We believe the Lord has instructed us to not advertise, to not market the oil, to not “knock” on doors, and to not try to convince people what it is.

His word to us was to give the oil away so He can replenish it. (story of Elijah and the widow with the jar of oil, 1 Kings 17:14) He instructed us to share the story, share His word, give the oil away, and the miracles will happen “outside the building.” And they have. His word was, “The church is leaving the building!” The oil has gone all over the world. We have given away over 150,000 vials. We receive testimonies everyday of the miracles God is performing in the marketplace, in the hospitals, in the workplace, in the streets, in almost every country of the world.

ESTEEMED YALE PROFESSOR REJECTS DARWINISM

Yale academic and professor, David Gelernter has openly rejected the theory of evolution, insisting that it contains many contradictions and flaws. He argues Intelligent Design is a serious theory.

Professor Gelernter bravely stepped forward to take a shot at the popular theory and urged his fellow academics not to sweep over critical thought on the subject out of an anti-religious bias.

“Darwin’s theory predicts that new life forms evolve gradually from old ones in a constantly branching, spreading tree of life,” the professor explained in a paper titled, “Giving Up Darwin,” as cited by the Daily Wire.

“Those brave new Cambrian creatures must therefore have had Precambrian predecessors, similar but not quite as fancy and sophisticated. They could not have all blown out suddenly, like a bunch of geysers.”

One of the central issues Gelernter raises against the pre-eminent theory is that it is nearly impossible to create a stable and functioning protein. “Immense is so big, and tiny is so small, that neo-Darwinian evolution is — so far — a dead loss. Try to mutate your way from 150 links of gibberish to a working, useful protein and you are guaranteed to fail,” he noted. “Try it with ten mutations, a thousand, a million — you fail. The odds bury you. It can’t be done.”

In contrast to the strong scepticism he holds towards Darwinian theory, Professor Gelernter argued that intelligent design is now the “first, and obviously most intuitive [theory] that comes to mind.”

Intelligent Design deduces that God must be the primary force behind the creation of the universe because, well, something simply cannot come out of nothing. While the theory is widely accepted by many in the Christian scientific community, Gelernter insisted that, on the whole, academics who reject Darwinism and subscribe to a God-centred argument find themselves being viciously attacked.

In a discussion hosted by the Hoover Institute, the professor expanded on these concerns. “I have to distinguish between the way I’ve been treated personally, which has been a very courteous and collegial way by my colleagues at Yale, they’re nice guys and I like them, they’re my friends,” he explained at the round table, hosted in June of this year.“On the other hand, when I look at their intellectual behaviour, what they publish, and, much more important, what they tell their students, Darwinism has indeed passed beyond a scientific argument. As far as they are concerned, you take your life in your hands to challenge it intellectually. They will destroy you if you challenge it.”

Doubling down on his concerns, Gelernter warned that a majority of those in the wider academic community show “nothing approaching free speech on this topic.”“It’s a bitter rejection, not just — a sort of bitter, fundamental, angry, outraged, violent rejection, which comes nowhere near scientific of intellectual discussion,” he added. “I’ve seen that happen again and again. ‘I’m a Darwinist, don’t you say a word against it, or, I don’t wanna hear it, period.’”Far from engaging in a civil academic discussion, the professor noted that if you criticise Darwinism, academics often react as if you have been “attacking their religion.” “It is a big issue for them,” he said. 

Christians understand that this is a spiritual issue. The fight is not against flesh and blood but against principalities , against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age , against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

ROAD MAP OF THE END TIMES

There is a road map to the end times. Two passages in Scripture, each describing the same 13 events are found in exactly the same order. What will it tell us about Jesus’s coming on the clouds? How does the Tribulation period begin? What’s the timing of the Rapture? When is the Antichrist revealed?

Another great video from Nelson Walters, this time to provide the Road Map of end times events as given by Jesus in both the Olivet Discourse and in Revelation 6. What are the odds of these being the same events and in the same order? Nelson reveals that the odds are extremely high.

God has provided this road map for a reason. As I have said many times, there are far more prophecies about Jesus second coming than there were of His first coming. Surely, it is to prepare the church particularly as God is going to allow the church to experience tribulation, even great tribulation, just prior to His return to rapture the saints.

THE LUNGS OF THE EARTH ARE BURNING

The “lungs of the planet” are burning. Smoke is reaching cities 2,000 miles away. As thousands of fiery infernos rage across the Amazon rain forest, tropical vegetation, trees, and the fauna they house are being razed. Since August 15, more than 9,500 new forest fires have started across Brazil, primarily in the Amazon basin. This year so far, scientists have recorded more than 74,000 fires in Brazil. That’s nearly double 2018’s total of about 40,000 fires. The surge marks an 83% increase in wildfires over the same period of 2018, Brazil’s National Institute for Space Research reported.

The lungs of the earth are burning, Smoke is reaching cities 2,000 miles away.

The largest state in Brazil, Amazonas, declared a state of emergency on Monday. Already, 2019 has the highest number of fires observed in a single year since researchers began keeping track in 2013 — and there are still four months to go. As the world’s largest rain forest, the Amazon plays a crucial role in keeping our planet’s carbon-dioxide levels in check. Plants and trees take in carbon dioxide and release oxygen back into the air in their process of photosynthesis. This is why the Amazon, which covers 2.1 million square miles, is often referred to as the “lungs of the planet”: The forest produces 20% of the oxygen in our planet’s atmosphere.

In total, the blazes have created a layer of smoke estimated to be 1.2 million square miles wide. This image from the European Union’s Copernicus Satellite shows the smoke slicing north to south through Brazil like a knife.

This week of fires comes on the heels of another worrisome milestone for the world’s largest rain forest. The month of July set a new record for the most deforestation ever in the Amazon in a single month, The Guardian reported. The Amazon shrunk by 519 square miles (1,345 square kilometers). That’s more than twice the area of Tokyo.

Data from Brazilian satellites indicated that about three football fields’ worth of Amazonian trees fell every minute last month. The total deforested area in July was up 39% from the same month last year.

On Tuesday, when Reuters reporters asked President Bolsonaro about the record rate of uncontrolled fires in Brazil, he pointed to the fact that it’s a time of year when farmers purposefully use fire to clear land – a seasonal cycle called “queimada.”

“I used to be called Captain Chainsaw. Now I am Nero, setting the Amazon aflame,” Bolsonaro said.

Hot and dry conditions in the Northern Hemisphere are a consequence of unprecedented warming. That’s because warming leads winter snow cover to melt earlier, and hotter air sucks away the moisture from trees and soil. Decreased rainfall also makes for parched forests that are prone to burning.

Combined, that has created ideal conditions for wildfires in Brazil and elsewhere around the world.

As of today, parts of British Columbia, Canada, and Alaska are also burning, while more than 13.5 million acres of Siberia are ablaze too.

MIND YOUR P’S AND Q’S

Mind your p’s and q’s

This is the latest WORD FOR THE WEEK from the International Christian Chamber of Commerce (A Global Network of Believers in the Marketplace). This is a great organisation for Christian businessmen. P’s and Q’s is an English language expression, an idiom, with the meaning ‘be very careful.’  It can be applied to what you say, to what you write, to your behaviour and so on.  Its origin goes back to when the printed word was typeset. Every letter was formed in a small steel block and the letters put together to make words – a time consuming process.  Mixing up p and q, was easily done as the typesetter saw a mirror image, and it could mean having to re-set a whole qage! In our Christian faith p and q have great importance:

P for patience – we inherit the promises of God through faith and patience. Hebrews 6:12

P for perseverance – the ability to stand and keep standing as we wait on the Lord. Romans 8:25

P for peace – it should be the decision maker in our hearts. Colossians 3:15

P for praise – an essential in our relationship with the Lord. Psalms is full of praise.

P for power – we receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us. Acts 1:8

P for prayer, another vital ingredient in the Christian life.  In Greek  ‘proseuchomai’ means ‘to speak out loud’ and ‘deomai’ means ‘to make your request’.  Prayer is simple – at any time and any where.

P for presence – refreshing comes from the presence of the Lord, privately and corporately. See Acts 3:19

P for possible – things that are not possible for us are possible for the Lord. Mark 10:27

AND  P for practical.  These things listed above are part of the normal Christian life.  Each one is a vital ingredient in learning to reign in life, which is a key objective. Romans 5:17

The ‘oil’ that makes all things possible is the wonderful grace of God without which, in our human strength, we would fail miserably.  Grace is that unmerited favour which freely flows from Jesus – abounding towards us. Ephesians 1:7-14

Q for quench.  On the positive side the shield of faith quenches (extinguishes) all the fiery darts of the enemy. Ephesians 6:16

On the negative side beware Q for quenching the Holy Spirit.  ‘Do not quench the Holy Spirit.’        1 Thessalonians 5:19.  It is easily done. The still small voice of the Holy Spirit is easily ignored and easily rejected, when we think we know better, to our cost.

This is perhaps an unusual way of considering things, but what a great self check list. Check every line – how are you on your p’s and q’s?

MESSAGE TO LGBTQ COMMUNITY

Angel Colon and Luis Javier Ruiz probably shouldn’t have survived the 2016 massacre at Pulse, a gay nightclub in Orlando. But they did, and the deadly shooting sparked radical transformation for both of them.

After realising he had miraculously survived the June 16, 2016, killing, which left 49 people dead, Colon thanked God and promised to use his life to share the Gospel.

“I look around again and everybody that was around me was dead and I am alive,” he said. “And I just started thanking God: ‘Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Lord. … The moment I get out of here, I’m testifying about you. I am worshipping you for the rest of my life.’”

Colon’s transformation wasn’t immediate, though. Weighed down by fears of how those around him might react to his decision to abandon the gay lifestyle and embrace Christianity, his conversion took time.

But after watching Ruiz step out, Colon had the courage to embrace the faith that saved him. Colon, when he finally spoke out, said he and Ruiz “became these men, these soldiers, these generals that aren’t scared anymore to share wherever they go the Gospel of God.”

One of the reasons Colon was so hesitant to walk away from the LGBTQ community and run toward the church was because of the backlash Ruiz faced for his conversion.

Ruiz, though, said it finally clicked for him when he realised that — despite his ongoing homosexual desires — “it’s not a gay to straight thing; it’s a lost to saved thing.”

For Ruiz, living a faithless life was no longer an option when he discovered not long after the shooting he was HIV positive. He is now using his platform to spread the Gospel, and his story is making a big difference in the lives of those around him.

“In all this, behind the scenes, God was working, because I had ex-lovers that were coming to Jesus because they saw a Facebook Live that they were making about me, and laughing about me. . . . This brought people to email me and say, ‘Hey, I want to know about this Jesus you’re so in love with.’”

THE LORD IS ALWAYS AT WORK PARTICULARLY IN CRISIS SITUATIONS

Lord is always at work. In fact, it is specifically in the midst of catastrophe, crisis, and the times when it seems as though the Lord is most absent that He is actually most active. Learning to see gospel opportunities when many others only see crisis is not a skill that comes naturally. Yet it is a skill that the body of Christ must learn. The closer we get to Jesus return the more we are going to see crisis situations and catastrophes. The Bible is clear, the last seven years of history prior to Jesus return will entail Christians going through tribulation and great tribulation in the second half of the 70th Week of Daniel. We are fortunate that God has given us many prophecies concerning His Second Coming so that the church can prepare and even use the prophesied events as part of our evangelism efforts.

Is the church preparing for this period?

We are told that there is a great falling away in the church in the last days. Sadly, we see that happening in our day with much of the church compromising with the world on issues such as gay marriage, homosexuality and other LGBTQ issues.

The catastrophes of history have not been meaningless. God’s plan was that in the fullness of time, He would reveal the hero of the story who would make sense of all the suffering mankind has endured throughout the ages. From the chaos is revealed a mystery of unimaginable grace from God to His creation. More than has ever been given out, by way of indescribable human suffering, God has taken upon Himself in the person of His Son. The promised Deliverer finally came, and His tragedy was greater than any catastrophe to ever befall mankind, for God made “him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that we might become the righteousness of God” (2 Corinthians 5:21).

Before the first human disaster ever struck, God determined that He Himself would bear all of the suffering of man’s failures on Himself when He would come and die on a wooden cross. If we are tempted to think it has been unfair that God would orchestrate catastrophe in human affairs, can we still remain uncertain in light of this truth?

TO JERUSALEM WE MARCH, MARTYRS BY THE MILLIONS!

END TIMES RHETORIC: Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said in an address at the Jalazone Refugee Camp near Ramallah that the Palestinians cannot be removed from their homeland and that every building built by the Zionist occupation will be destroyed and thrown in the garbage bin of history. He also made the patently absurd, historically false claim that the Palestinians are “Canaanites who have lived in Palestine for 5,000 years. He rejected the conferences in Warsaw (Warsaw Middle East Summit) and Manama (Peace to Prosperity Conference) as unacceptable to the Palestinian people. He said that Jerusalem belongs to the Palestinians, and the audience began to chant:

“To Jerusalem we march, martyrs by the millions!”

Abbas continued, saying that the entire Palestinian nation will enter Jerusalem as millions of fighters, along with the Arab, Islamic, and Christian nations, and he said that he rejects the designation of Palestinian martyrs as terrorists. He added that the families of Palestinian martyrs, injured people, and prisoners will continue to receive salaries from the PA because they are the most sacred thing the Palestinians have.

Abbas should read what God has to say about Jerusalem and Israel:

“Comfort , yes, comfort My people!”says your God. Speak comfort to Jerusalem, and cry out to her, that her warfare has ended. That her iniquity is pardoned; for she has received from the Lord’s hand double for her sins.” Isaiah 40:1

“But you, Israel are My servant, Jacob whom I have chosen, The descendants of Abraham My friend. You whom I have taken from the ends of the earth, And called from its farthest regions, and said to you are My servant, I have chosen you and have not cast you away.” Isaiah 40:8-9

“Behold all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing , and those who strive with you shall perish.” Isaiah 40:11

ELOQUENT TEACHING ON TIMING OF THE RAPTURE

Another excellent video from Nelson Walters on the timing of The Rapture (Matthew 24:30-31 and 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17).

It is important we understand that Christians will experience tribulation and even great tribulation during the last seven years (70th week of Daniel) before Jesus returns to earth to liberate Israel at the Battle of Armageddon.

Before you watch Nelson’s video let me share this revelation: the Holy Spirit revealed to me another gem on the timing of The Rapture just two days ago. I was reading Revelation Chapter 8 on the opening of the seventh seal.

Already, I had accepted from the work Nelson Walters has done, that The Rapture takes place at the trumpet blast at the seventh seal.

SUMMARY: At the fifth seal, Revelation 6:9, John sees the souls of martyrs under the altar. They are crying out, asking when was God going to judge and avenge them. Then, they were asked to rest a little longer until the number of their fellow servants and brethren who would be killed as they were was completed. They were also given white robes, but at this stage the resurrection of the saints has not occurred so are unable to wear them.

At the end of the chapter on the opening of the sixth seal, Revelation 6:17 we read “For the great day of His wrath has come and who is able to stand. God is about to pour out His wrath upon the earth. It is time for the saints to be raptured as both Jesus and Paul said, the saints will not experience God’s wrath.

Next in Revelation 7:9, John sees “behold a great multitude which no one could number of all nations, tribes, peoples and tongues standing before the throne and the lamb clothed with white robes and palm trees in their hands.” Note they are no longer souls but have bodies and are wearing the white robes (The Rapture has occurred) and no longer complaining but crying out with a loud voice saying “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne and to the lamb.”

Now what was the gem I observed that confirms The Rapture has occurs at the opening of the seventh seal?

In Revelation 8: at the opening of the seventh seal: “Then another angel having a golden censer (contains the prayers of all the saints) … and he was given much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne.” Revelation 8:3. Once the prayers of all the saints ascended before God, what does the angel do with the censer which held the prayers of the saints? “He filled it with fire from the altar and threw it to the earth. And there was noises and thunderings, lightnings and an earthquake” Then, the wrath of God began to be poured out on the earth with the trumpet and bowl judgements.

The Holy Spirit revelation for me was that the golden censer was no longer needed for the prayers of the saints as the prayers of all the saints had been offered up. They were now raptured, the censer could be thrown to the earth filled with fire to initiate the wrath of God being poured out.

IMPORTANCE TO COMMUNITIES OF STABLE, PRESENT DADS

Writing in March 2018 and after much careful analysis, Professor Paul Kengor noted that, “what is clear is the vast majority of shooters came from broken families without a consistent biological father throughout their rearing and development. Very few had good, stable, present dads.”

Another shooting, another son of divorce, Adam Lanza, who killed 26 children and adults a year ago at Sandy Hook School in Newtown, Conn. Also, Karl Pierson, who shot a teenage girl and killed himself this past Friday at Arapahoe High in Centennial, Colo., one common and largely unremarked thread tying together most of the school shooters that have struck the nation in the last year is that they came from homes marked by divorce or an absent father. From shootings at MIT (i.e., the Tsarnaev brothers) to the University of Central Florida to the Ronald E. McNair Discovery Learning Academy in Decatur, Ga., nearly every shooting over the last year in Wikipedia’s “list of U.S. school attacks” involved a young man whose parents divorced or never married in the first place.

The social scientific evidence about the connection between violence and broken homes could not be clearer. Dr Michael Brown research suggests that boys living in single mother homes are almost twice as likely to end up delinquent compared to boys who enjoy good relationships with their father.

Harvard sociologist Robert Sampson has written that “Family structure is one of the strongest, if not the strongest, predictor of variations in urban violence across cities in the United States.” His views are echoed by the eminent criminologists Michael Gottfredson and Travis Hirschi, who have written that “such family measures as the percentage of the population divorced, the percentage of households headed by women, and the percentage of unattached individuals in the community are among the most powerful predictors of crime rates.”

God established in Genesis the basis for a stable family: “Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined with his wife and they shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 God made Eve from Adam to enforce the importance and binding nature of the marriage union. Marriage and families built on Biblical principles will produce stable loving communities.
