‘We are losing a dangerous race’: ‘Super malaria’ spreading rapidly in Asia.

A highly drug-resistant strain of malaria dubbed “super malaria” is spreading rapidly in South East Asia, leading scientists to warn that it could soon be a global threat.

The disease, most commonly transmitted by mosquitoes infected with the parasite, was first detected in Cambodia in 2008 but has now spread to the three remaining countries that make up the Eastern Greater Mekong subregion: Vietnam, Laos and Thailand.

In a letter, published in Lancet Infectious Diseases, the team studying the spread of the disease from the Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit in Bangkok, said the rapid spread “presents one of the greatest threats to the control and elimination of malaria.”

Adding that the fact it is mostly drug resistant is a “sinister development”.  

“A single mutant strain of very drug-resistant malaria has now spread from western Cambodia to northeastern Thailand, southern Laos and into southern Vietnam and caused a large increase in treatment failure of patients with malaria,” letter co-author Prof. Arjen Dondorp said.

“This could result in an important increase in malaria transmission in these countries and severely jeopardize their malaria elimination efforts,” he added.

Dondrop hopes that this new evidence will be used to combat the diseases spread in the region before it becomes “close to untreatable.” His colleague, Prof Nicholas White, thinks that “we are losing a dangerous race” and that something must be done to tackle this public health emergency urgently.

Roughly 212 million people are infected with the disease each year, the majority of cases, 92 percent, are in Africa. If this super malaria strain spread to the continent the effects would be disastrous.

Also prophesied to increase in the “last days” are natural disasters, earthquakes and apostasy. all of which we are seeing now. Is your church standing on the word of God? If it is, then expect increased persecution. If it isn’t, then find one that is and start preparing for Christ’s return and be joyful for your redemption is nigh.

IMPORTANCE OF RAPTURE TIMING

Increasingly, this site will focus on prophesied end times as they unfold in our time. The aim, to equip believers to use prophecy in evangelism. As I have mentioned in previous posts, there are far more prophecies about Jesus Second Coming than there were about His First coming. All the OT prophets were given a picture of a restored Israel with Jesus (descendant of King David) ruling and reigning from Jerusalem.

Isaiah, Daniel, Ezekiel, Nehemiah, Zechariah, and Micah are all stand outs for me in providing us with pictures of future “end times” events. All through Isaiah we get snippets of Jesus ruling from Jerusalem. As early as Isaiah 2, we read “Now it shall come to pass in the latter days, that the mountain of the Lord’s house shall be firmly established above other mountains, and exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it. Many people shall come and say, come, and let us go up to the mountain of the Lord, to the house of the God of Jacob; He will teach us His ways, and we shall walk in His paths. For out of Zion shall go forth the law, and the word of the Lord from Jerusalem. He shall judge between the nations, and rebuke many people; they shall beat their swords into ploughshares  and their spears into pruning hooks; Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war anymore”. Isaiah then goes on to paint a picture of The Day of the Lord when the Lord alone will be exalted on that day, everything proud and lofty, everything lifted up will be brought low.

As Nelson Walters states in this important video, the timing of the Rapture is not just a theological debate, its timing is critical, in terms of whether the church will face the tribulation, and even great tribulation outlined in Daniel’s 70th week. In the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21), Jesus gave His disciples and us, a lot of information about His Second Coming. He said, many times, WATCH, BE ALERT, for it will be like the days of Noah, they will be eating, sleeping etc and suddenly, He will appear in the clouds with the angels and every eye will see Him, believers will be taken up, but most look for rocks to hide under. God then pours out His wrath upon the unrepentant in the Trumpet and Bowl Judgements.

PROPHESIED END TIMES EVENTS – INCREASE IN NATURAL DISASTERS

Apocalyptic September? Here Is A List Of 27 Major Disasters That Have Already Happened So Far This Month.

The Bible does talk about an increase of natural disasters in the “last days”. Jesus also warns us many times in the Olivet Discourse to be watchful for the signs He gives us preparatory to His second coming. Apostasy in the church is an important one and so evident in the church today as it caves in to gay marriage and homosexual pastors.

We know the Pharisees and the Sadducees missed His first coming despite the warning of 300 odd Bible prophecies. When we read Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22, we wonder how the Jews still don’t recognise their Messiah but as there is a growing number of Messianic Jews, obviously some do. Despite there being many more prophecies of Jesus second coming than His first, will church leaders be like the Pharisees and Sadducees and miss it, thereby not being in a position to warn their parishioners?

Jesus seminal teaching on the state of the church at His second coming is the parable of the Ten Virgins.

  • This parable is about ten virgins (CHURCHGOERS) who keep themselves pure as they await the return of the bridegroom (JESUS).
  • Five of the virgins are described as wise and five foolish.
  • While the bridegroom was delaying, they ALL got drowsy and fell asleep.
  • At a trumpet blast all awoke but half did not have oil (HOLY SPIRIT) for their lamps and did not go into the wedding feast. In fact, when they returned Jesus said, “depart from Me, I don’t know you”.

In the parable of the Ten Virgins, we see that Jesus tells us that all the church is asleep as they wait for His return. Jesus did not say those who hold the correct Rapture theory are awake and the rest are asleep, He is saying the church as a whole is asleep. Soberly, this parable also reveals that half of the church are seekers but not saved. It also suggests we have a mission field in our churches, but the half that are saved are asleep, so not able to help the seekers in their churches.

The timing of the Rapture question is not an academic one. THE ETERNAL DESTINY OF MILLIONS OF CHURCHGOERS IS AT STAKE IN THE ANSWER. Jesus’s parables are usually about contrasts between the righteous and the wicked, but in this parable both groups fall asleep waiting for the return of the bridegroom! Both the foolish and the wise are probably sleeping right now, meaning that most of us are slumbering in regard to the return of our Lord. That is a humbling statement. What is the state of your church on this critical issue?

MAJOR DISASTERS SO FAR THIS MONTH

()) Mexico earthquake 8.2 imminent tsunami. Beach lines are receded at least 50+ meters, ()) Yellowstone volcano is hit with earthquake swarm of over 2,300 tremors since June, recording a 4.4 quake on June 15, 20017 and 3.3 shaker on August 21, 2017, (()) 5.3 earthquake rumbles through Idaho, (()) Japan earthquake 6.1 possible tsunami,  Texas is under water.  India, Nepal, Pakistan, and Bangladesh, experience record monsoons and massive death toll. Sierra Leone and Niger experience massive floods, mudslides, and deaths in the thousands.

 Italy, France, Spain, Switzerland, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia are crushed in the death grip of a triple digit heat wave, dubbed Lucifer.

California is on fire.  Oregon is on fire.  Washington is on fire.  British Columbia is on fire.  Alberta is on fire.  Montana is on fire.  Nova Scotia is on fire.  Greece is on fire.  Brazil is on fire.  Portugal is on fire.  Algeria is on fire.  Tunisia is on fire.  Greenland is on fire.  The Sakha Republic of Russia is on fire.  Siberia is on fire.  Southern California continues to swelter under triple digit heat that shows no sign of letting up.  In usually chilly August, the city of San Francisco shatters all-time record at 106 degrees, while it reaches 115 degrees south of the city. Northern California continues to bake in the triple digits.

And last but not least an X10 C.M.E solar flare two nights ago. The highest recorded solar flare ever!

In my lifetime we have never had this number of natural disasters in one month. Moreover they are occurring like “birth pangs” with ever increasing frequency and magnitude.

BIBLICAL LOVE REPROVES ANYTHING CONTRARY TO GOD’S LAW

Biblical love involves reproving that which is contrary to God’s law. Love speaks the truth even when it is unpalatable. Love corrects and rebukes; and the willingness to rebuke false doctrine is even listed as one of the qualifications required for eldership! (cf. Titus 1:9) Love hates all that is contrary to good. And since love itself is defined as an attribute of God Himself (cf. 1 John 4:8: God is love), anything that contradicts His teachings and commandments is unloving. Consistent with this definition of biblical love, those who promote homosexuality and transgenderism in the name of ‘love’ are actually unloving. Likewise, one of the most loving things a Christian can do is to warn others of God’s coming wrath (Romans 1:18, 24–27) and to call them to repentance.

“Better is open rebuke than hidden love. Faithful are the wounds of a friend; profuse are the kisses of an enemy.” Proverbs 27:5-6

Forgiveness of sins and eternal life are available to every person who repents of sin and trusts in Christ alone as Saviour, Lord, and supreme treasure. We deny that the Lord’s arm is too short to save or that any sinner is beyond his reach”.6 Or as the Apostle Paul taught:

“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, … nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, …will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” (1 Corinthians 6:9–11)

Paul includes homosexual behaviour as a serious sin. But Christians—including those who were guilty of that—are transformed. They are no longer slaves to sin, but have been forgiven, made a new creation by the indwelling Holy Spirit. He is our counsellor, our comforter and teacher. As we submit to the will of God, He will renew our mind, and give us a mind that seeks after the things of God. We are not to be conformed to this world but to be transformed by the renewal of our minds. We are no longer to walk as unbelievers do, in the futility of their minds, and who are darkened in their understanding due to their hardness of hearts, and who have given themselves over to sensuality (cf. Ephesians 4:17–19). Instead, we are called to conform our values and our thoughts to the Word of God—to put off our old self, and to be renewed in the spirit of our minds in true righteousness and holiness (cf. Ephesians 4:22-24); being renewed in knowledge after the image of our Creator (cf. Colossians 3:10). We are not to engage in hermeneutical gymnastics, twisting the Word of God to fit our agenda. Instead, we are to approach Scripture with humility, submitting our entire lives, mind, and even moral values to God’s word.

 

WHAT/WHERE IS OUR END TIMES FOCUS?

If time is short, our end times focus must be on the Great Commission. This is what I like about Joel Richardson, his focus is on getting Muslims into God’s Kingdom. I met Joel at the Understanding the Times Conference in Tyler, Texas. This video will give you “his heart for the lost” as well as the role of Islam in Biblical prophecy of the last days.

SPIRITUAL CHARIOTS FOR LAST-DAYS TRANSPORTATION

Amazing prophecy from Bill Yount. Bill has been a member of Bridge of Life in Hagerstown, Maryland, for the past 36 years, where he is now an elder and a home missionary. He is currently an adviser at large for Aglow International. Bill faithfully served in prison ministry at Mount Hope for 23 years and now travels full-time, both in the U.S. and internationally, ministering in churches and Aglow circles.

Bill is saying, that just as Phillip was transported to minister to the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8:39-40. the Lord in these ‘last days’ will transport many by spiritual “Chariots of Fire” into enemy territory where people are being held captive by the enemy and natural disasters.

“When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took Philip away. And the eunuch saw him no more, and he went his way rejoicing.  But Philip was found at Azotus. And passing through, he preached the gospel in all the cities until he came to Caesarea” Acts 8:39-40.

With the increase of international disasters beginning to take place around the world, there will be urgent missions where individuals will need to get to countries swiftly. These missions will not be dependent upon the future unstable conditions of the airline transportation systems. God is always one step ahead when it comes to spreading the gospel and going into all the world.

In the Spirit, I heard an order of “chariot wheels” being called into the throne room for the last-day method of transportation for emergency mission work around the world. Time will be a critical factor in getting God’s people from one place to the next to minister in times of disaster. God will use angels to intervene in many cases, but to actually lift up the full standard against the flood of the enemy along with national catastrophes, He will be sending His people “first class,” speedily.

I have heard testimonies where some believers have been praying for a nation, and all of a sudden, in the Spirit, they were caught away and found themselves in that nation ministering to people. Some through dreams or visions, and some as though their own body was there! I truly believe we are living in an hour that we need to take the limits off of God and say, “Here am I, Lord; send me anywhere, any way You want to!”

Spiritual ‘Chariots of Fire’

It’s interesting that the army tanks in Israel are called “chariots of fire.” While in Israel, I saw a demonstration of these tanks on the move. These tanks are able to shoot forth fire out of the end of their cannons into their enemies. Also, they can shoot forth smoke to hide themselves from the enemy, when needed. These tanks are believed to be the most powerful artillery in the world.

The Lord will transport many by spiritual “chariots of fire” into enemy territory where people are being held captive by the enemy and natural disasters. These chariots will be equipped with the fire of God and the smoke of His glory cloud. They will be used to rescue many from death as their ministers, as flames of fire and preach to thousands with the fire of God on their lips as they are hidden from the enemy and disaster by the smoke of His glory!

‘Angelic Air and Ground Traffic Controllers’

As the earth seems to be going more and more out of control and increases its groaning through earthquakes and bizarre weather patterns, angels will be given charge over God’s people in their going out and coming in, as they are being escorted on secret missions. When everything appears to be out of control, God will still be sitting upon the circle of the earth in total control of spreading the gospel. Angels will help control air and ground traffic transportation for the missions of God’s people.

As many travel and minister in these spiritual “chariots of fire,” the borders of their mantles will, at times, touch down upon whole nations and regions to redeem and bring forth life out of chaos!

“Swing low, sweet chariot…” Are you ready for an upgrade in your travelling? 

 

PREPARE FOR THE “END TIMES” EVENTS TO COME

“Why do the nations rage…? The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His anointed, saying, ‘Let us tear off their bonds and cast away their ropes from us” (Psalm 2:1-3).

David describes a time when many rulers would see God’s Word in a negative light, as though it were bonds enslaving them and as cords binding them to His morality, godly ways and truth. They would see the demands of God’s Word as hindering “human potential” in sexual expression along with many other life choices.

This prophecy is being fulfilled now and it is time to speak up and to refuse to remain silent. In this hour, as the cultural wars intensify, the voice of aggressive secularists is getting much louder and bolder. At the same time, many in the church are retreating into fearful silence. To some, it seems as if the church will be overrun by the angry voices of the liberal left. However, I assure you that the Lord’s purposes will surely succeed. He is raising up those who will speak up with clarity and courage because of their fierce love for Jesus and the truth (John 14:21, 2 Thess. 2:10).

Where is all this going? Some ask if things will get better or worse. The truth is, both light and darkness will increase at the same time. Before Jesus returns, godliness and sin alike will reach their greatest heights in history:

“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you. For the darkness shall cover the earth and deep darkness the peoples; but the Lord shall rise upon you, and His glory shall be seen upon you” (Isaiah 60:1-2).

The greatest outpouring of the Holy Spirit in history is yet to come, in conjunction with a deluge of deep darkness assaulting the nations.

The Lord is raising up courageous messengers who will fearlessly proclaim Jesus as the only way of salvation, the authority of His Word and the supremacy of His glorious leadership.

Where do you stand? Where does your church stand? What is God calling you to do in this hour? It is time to make important decisions, to align yourselves with like minded brothers and sisters in Christ. The persecuted church invariably looks like the church described in the Book of Acts.

THE TEMPLE NEEDS TO BE REBUILT BEFORE JESUS SECOND COMING

When the third Jewish Temple is rebuilt it will be a definite end times sign. This video shows that the historical evidence supports the Jewish Temple was built in the old city of David above the Gihon Spring so that water could be drawn up for purification purposes. The Western wall therefore is not the wall of the Herodian Temple but part of Fort Antonio built by Herod to house the Roman soldiers.

This picture shows that the Temple is connected to Fort of Antonio (it housed 10,000 soldiers) by a Causeway. The Fort is enormous whereas the Temple was by comparison small (600 ft square) The temple was built in the old city of David which is south of the so called Temple Mount.

The Dome of the Rock and the Aqsa Mosque sit on the site of the Fort Antonio not the Temple Mount.

Hence there is nothing stopping Israel rebuilding the Temple on its original site except tradition. Israeli Temple Institute has already made the altar, tools and clothing required. It also operates an educational centre and a preparatory training programme for members of the priestly family who want to be ready to serve as soon as the temple is rebuilt. Watch to see what triggers the rebuild for it will happen.

 

UNDERSTANDING THE TIMES: ISRAEL, ISLAM AND THE GOSPEL

Hi Brothers & Sisters, I mentioned in a previous post, I was attending a Conference in Tyler Texas, August 4th and 5th – Understanding the Times: Israel, Islam & The Gospel. My main reason for attending was to meet up with Dr Nelson Walters who was a speaker at the Conference. Nelson has agreed to be on the Board of an “End Times” Ministry I am setting up, to provide pastors and Christian leaders with Power Point Sermons and Video Sermons to equip the church in these “last days” to make disciples to complete the great commission – website http://www.powerpointsermons.net.  As well, I hoped to connect with some of the speakers at the conference who would become partners in the ministry. Two great connections were Joel Richardson and Mark Davidson.

Joel is author of many books but two I can recommend are Mideast Beast: The Scriptural Case for an Islamic Antichrist and Mystery Babylon: Unlocking the Bible’s Greatest Prophetic Mystery.

Mark is author of several books but as with Joel I can recommend two – Daniel Revisited: Discovering the Four Mideast Signs Leading to the Antichrist and Iran’s Great Invasion  and Why it’s next in Bible Prophecy.

If you want to get up to speed on what end time events the Bible has prophesied for the near future, then listen to Mark being interviewed on Wings of the Eagle. They were also active at the conference and a website to watch.

 

WILL THE CHURCH FACE THE ANTICHRIST?

What an important question. Will the church face the Antichrist? What is your understanding of when the Rapture will take place, if at all? Listen to Joel Richardson interview Nelson Walters author of Rapture: Case closed.

I have read two of Nelson’s previous books: Are We Ready for Jesus – How to Prepare for His Return and Revelation Deciphered, both I can recommend.
