KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

We are progressing well with our discipleship ministry in Kehancha in Kuria but it is very hard here. The region is very dry with no green vegetation, and there is a scarcity of water and food. Our people are walking 3kms to fetch water from a borehole for drinking and cooking. It has been hard work for our evangelism team to reach farmers in the field and minister to them. Some of the people here testified that they have never heard about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

KHC mission trip to Kehancha in Kuria region, Tent ministry – pastor Julius ministering the gospel message Jan 17th, 2022

We held tent discipleship and outdoor evangelism meetings. In every place, and at every point, we ministered, we were able to feel the  Holy spirit’s presence touching and convicting the hearts of many people to repentance with many people coming to believe in Jesus Christ. And as a result, many gave powerful testimonies.

You can see pastor Jacob gathering with some of these families under one of the few trees left standing and sharing with them the gospel message. There is abject poverty, no chairs to sit on, people are standing some sat on stones and wooden logs. Keep us in your prayers. Thankfully your financial help was received.

We ministered the gospel message in various homes, to the pastoralists out in the field, even to the school children, and also to the business people in the marketplace. Unlike our past mission trips, this time we conducted a women’s ministry, and this was as a result of a large number of women present in our meetings.

A hairstylist, Mrs. Rhoda Opiyo testified she lost her job three weeks before we stepped into that region. The reason given was that she was talking too much about Christ, evidence of Christians being persecuted for their belief in Christ Jesus.

Sadly, none of these twelve members have Bibles. We had funds to buy one Bible for the leader of the women’s group.

We hope to raise funds for more Bibles and would appreciate your help in this regard.

If you would like to help me support the Kenya House Church Movement you can do so on the Home Page by clicking the Donations button. I do not ask for funds to support my ministry but feel called to support the growth of House Churches in countries that can do with help.

KHC leaders at the recent (end of year) 2021 meeting in Migori

KHC 2021 OVERVIEW OF PROGRESS:

2021 was the most successful year for us here, since KHC was founded upon the revelation of God’s word, and prayers in 2010.
In every place we visited with the gospel, a positive outcome was realized and despite a few challenges from religious leaders, we were able to sail through and we give God the glory!
HOUSE CHURCH GROUPS:
We are pleased to report we have been able to plant fourteen house church groups, with thirteen in Kenya and one in Nyamuzi, Tanzania.
Mubachi in Migori region, – Buembu in Migori region, – Kokendi in Migori region, – Bondo in Migori region, – Ong’er in Nyatike region, – Ndhiwa in Homa-Bay region, – Karungu in Nyatike region, – Opapo in Rongo  region, – Nyarombo in Migori region, -Lidha in Karungu region, -Ogembo in Kisii region, Ogembo in Kericho region, – Kogaja in Busia region, -Nyamuzu, in Tanzania.

In Kehancha, Kuria region, God has given us a breakthrough, and a wide door is opened for the KHC team to visit the region on January 13th-17th, 2022. Hopefully, a new church group will be founded there.

We expect exciting additions in 2022, and it is our hope and prayers that in 2022 the KHC team will be able to take the gospel to places, we were not able to visit in 2021.

NUMBER OF CHURCH GROUPS MEMBERS:

In 2021, many lives have been reached for Jesus Christ and an additional five church groups were founded. Also, we have witnessed a greater increase of members than in previous years.

The total number of our church group members in the 8 church groups has increased from 300 in 2020, to 398 in 2021.

DISCIPLESHIP & EVANGELISM CAMPAIGNS:

Discipleship and evangelism are at the heart of the KHC movement. And at our last meeting, we have resolved that  KHC will go on discipleship & evangelism mission trips twice a  month.
In 2021, our evangelism team led by pastor Jacob was able to visit many places, ministering in market places, villages, hospitals, prisons, and schools to marginalized families and destitute children, sharing with them the love of God and leading many to Jesus Christ.
In the past 12 months, KHC team members have been able to visit 14 secondary schools, 25 homes, 5 prisons, 5 hospitals, 15 marketplaces, and ministered to 150 orphans and vulnerable children (OVC).

3) TRAINING THE TRAINERS:

In 2021, KHC was able to give training to 4 potential house church leaders and after undergoing our training for six months they are now being sent out as ambassadors for Jesus Christ with the sole aim of making disciples and starting a house church group. This year, two of our disciples & trainees will be sent to Mwanza in Tanzania as ambassadors for Christ.

4) WEEKLY BIBLE STUDIES:

Here at KHC, we have a weekly Bible study, whereby church group members meet once a week to pray and search the scriptures.

5) EMPOWERING THE POOR:

KHC has an ongoing empowering programme to help support widows, orphans, and needy members in the KHC movement.
Every church group is encouraged to start an income-generating project, such as Maize farming, growing vegetables, dairy farming, shopkeeping, poultry keeping, second-hand cloth business, etc, this is to help support our church group members to become financially stable

 KHC PLANS FOR 2022:

Zoom meetings:

KHC movement still has unfulfilled plans to buy a large screen TV and a computer to help KHC leaders to link with LEN and other parachurch organizations to hold zoom meetings. This will help KHC learn and share end time signs of Jesus second coming and other teachings about the millennium Kingdom

Discipleship & Evangelism:

In 2022 the KHC movement plans to take its discipleship making programme and evangelism campaigns to new regions, and territories, moving outside the current eleven regions

Bible study programme

KHC still has an unfulfilled plan to open a KHC library, where some books from recommended authors can be loaned out. This will help our members to learn and understand from different authors about the last day’s church, prophetic end-times signs of Jesus second coming, living eternal now and about building a kingdom business, etc.

Income-generating projects:

KHC still has an unfulfilled plan to open up a medical facility/laboratory where church group members, and other people from the neighborhood communities, can come for medical check-up, and treatment at a minimal, affordable fee. Hopefully, this will help the financial stability and growth of the KHC movement.

 2022 KHC GOALS:

To spread the gospel far and wide as God leads and to make disciples who will make more disciples of Christ.
We have set a goal for 2022 of reaching out to 700 people with the gospel and starting up 6 more house church groups planted on a proper Biblical foundation.

The growth of this discipleship movement is a God-led blessing from Ron Edwards, founder of the website http://www.livingeternal.net (Living Eternal Now), and supporters who have helped with prayers and finances. Thank you all!
KHC FORTH-COMING MISSION TRIP:
On Jan, 13th-17th, 2022, KHC planters will go on a four days mission trip to Kehancha in the Kuria region. For some time now, we have had requests from brothers there for us to send an evangelism team. At our recent leader’s meeting, we resolved to visit this region.
Request: KHC is requesting prayers and financial help of Aus$ 300 from our LEN team members to help us go on this mission.
You are all a significant part of our success in growing this important discipleship movement in Kenya.

 Respectfully
 Charles Otieno Owino.

I am hoping that some of the followers of LEN will join me this year to support the growth of the KHC movement. As Charles stated above, one of the projects we have not been able to fund is the purchase of a large screen TV and computer and a WiFi plan for Charles so that I and others can connect with him on Zoom. Also, I would like to purchase some books in English and Swahili for training and the proposed KHC library.

I have set up a Donations icon for KHC donations on the LEN Home Page.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

MISSION TRIP  TO  LONDIANI, KENYA NOVEMBER 2nd – 9th.

Report by Pastor Charles Owino:

We safely arrived Londiani Tuesday afternoon November 2nd. We were welcomed by Pastor Omwenga and the eight members of the house church. In the evening, after opening prayers, we held our first market place meeting.

PREACHING & TEACHING MEETINGS:
We were  able to conduct indoor and outdoor meetings at different locations ministering to many people. God did mighty works through us in all our meetings, many people believed and surrendered their lives to Christ, and were baptized.
INDOOR MEETINGS:
Many people turned up to our house meetings to hear the gospel message. Many were moved by the Gospel message and nine people opened their hearts to Jesus Christ, believed and repented from their sins and were baptised. One of these was a young man who gave his life to Lord Jesus Christ, he repented and later testified of his past sinful deeds as a thug. He is pictured both being prayed for and giving his testimony to the group.

Two women who admitted to being prostitutes upon hearing our gospel message, stepped forward, knelt down to receive prayer, the two women believed and repented from their sins, and later gave their testimonies.

Testimony given by Dorcas Awino:
“After completion of secondary school, I walked out of my family and moved to Kericho to get a job, after six months of failing to get a job, I was persuaded by my closest girl friend to  join her in prostitution. We would stay in the house all day, but at night, we would stand along the streets, half naked in bikkini shorts. Men took us to large bars, there we would  drink beer and dance discos and later these men would take us to the lodgings for all night sex. I thank God today for touching my life, I decided to surrender my life to Jesus Christ, and start living my life for Him. I now believe I’m his child forever, loved, washed clean by his shed blood. And His joy and strength is now in my life forever.

Healings and Deliverance:

Men and women who were demon possed we’re healed and delivered. As pictured Mrs Odhiambo with elephantiasis was not healed immediately but two weeks after we got a report from her husband who is a village elder and from the daughter that she is healed and pain free. (I will ask Charles to get a picture of her healed leg.)

A NEW HOUSE CHURCH FOUNDED:
As a result of the work done through us by God in this region of Londiani, a new house church of eight members was birthed. This new young house church will be under elder Gedion, but he will  be helped and strengthened by pastor Omwenga of Ogembo House Church, and this will continue until brother Gedion become strong and fully built up and mature in the faith such that he can stand alone with the church.

FORTHCOMING KHC MISSION TRIP,  NOVEMBER 26TH – 30TH:

Our next mission trip will be to  LIDHA, BUEMBU, NYAROMBO AND BONDO house churches.
As I have mentioned, we have held 20 mission trips and all these trips have been solely funded  by brother Ron. We kindly request well wishers, friends and believers in Jesus Christ to help join hands with brother Ron in supporting KHC movement to go on this planned mission trip.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT UPDATE

REPORT FROM PASTOR CHARLES LEADER OF THE KHC MOVEMENT

Hi, Ron. I’m very much thankful for your support of Pastor Alfred. Plans are underway with KHC leaders to give Alfred’s mother a worthy burial service. I will be meeting with KHC leaders at Alfred’s parents home on Saturday for the final touches ahead of the burial on 19th. And in front of KHC leaders, I will hand over the money you sent to Alfred.
In regards to transfer of funds, our position which I believe is also yours, firmly remains that all funds for KHC are to be channelled to me here. KHC will not be responsible for any misuse of funds directed to any person working outside of the KHC movement.
With guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are trying to ensure that any money sent to do the work of God is used wisely.
We do still have a lot to be done here. And you will remember the uncompleted projects like computer for Zoom meetings, printing machine for daily LEN teachings. Upcoming KHC mission trips will also require funds.
I am working on the report of our last mission trip which  I will put together with the upcoming burial of Alfred’s mother for submission to you.

KHC –  NEXT MISSION TRIP:
KHC team will be planting a new house church at  LONDIANI within Kericho county, several kilometres away from Migori region. There is a great need for the people in that small town to hear the Gospel, and after our long prayers the Holy spirit is directing us to step into that place with the Gospel on November 2nd – 9th, 2021
The connection  to visit the place came from two brothers after they had attended our teachings at Ogembo house church in Kisii  region.
More about our trip and request for funds will be made known to you on Saturday after the KHC leaders meeting.

If you would like to join with me in supporting the Kenya House Church Movement I have a DONATE icon on the Home Page where you can do so.

EMAIL FROM PASTOR ALFRED
Praying for your good health and peace. A successful final send off of my late mother was conducted today at my parent’s home. The burial which was presided over by Pastor Charles, KHC leaders and nearly all the house church believers in our region were present. I’m very much thankful to you all, and to all those who contributed their finances to help me with the hospital bill plus other expenses for the burial. Your prayers and encouragement also played a big role in the life and family of my deceased mother. She was a believer and I believe she has gone to rest with the Lord.
Thank you ALL.
These are pictures taken during the burial.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

REPORT FROM PASTOR CHARLES OTIENO OWINO LEADER OF THE KENYA HOUSE CHURCH (KHC) MOVEMENT

The report provides a brief summary of the history of the movement and more detail on their 16th mission trip of the year to Kogaja

We are happy to express our gratitude to brother Ron for his financial support and to any of the friends and followers of LEN that are praying for us.
As you may know, KHC began in 2010, and our main calling and mission is making disciples and planting house churches. Thankfully, your prayers and support have helped us reach and win many souls for Christ, and establish house churches in different regions of Kenya and in the republic of Tanzania.
Up-to-date, we have planted thirteen house churches, with twelve in Kenya and one in Tanzania. All these have been as a result of prayers and God’s leading.
We are praying and trusting God to help provide Bibles for the three most recently established house churches, namely, Ogembo – Kisii, Kenya – Lidha – Nyatike, Kenya and Nyamuzi -Tanzania.

RECENT TRIP TO KOGAJA REGION:
We safely arrived at Kogaja and were welcomed by Pastor Melkio, the leader of the one established house church there. That evening was largely spent in prayer, with the leaders, committing the mission trip to our Lord.

The four day trip was comprised of both Tent Meetings and evangelism in the marketplace, homes and even on buses.
Many people came to our Gospel Tent Meetings. The Holy spirit gave many of them the power to understand our gospel message. Many lives were touched, changed and healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our evangelism team went wherever people congregated to preach the Gospel message. Led by elder, Glack Samson, they visited a market place, and shared the gospel message with many people. Ten people opened their hearts to Jesus Christ! One of these an elderly woman gave her testimony at one of our meetings:
” Due to many bad things that happened to me I decided to abandon God and was not interested in Christianity. But after hearing the word of God I understood more about  the love of God. And how Jesus gave Himself to die on my behalf for my sins. Today, I decided to receive Jesus in my life as my personal Saviour! His Joy and strength is now in my life forever, and one day I will enter with Him in His Kingdom”. Amen

Pastor Maurice ministering to people on a bus

A NEW NINE MEMBER HOUSE CHURCH FOUNDED:

A new house church was established on the outskirts of Kogaja. We found some people there who confessed belief in God and Jesus but were not born again believers. They were open to us preaching the gospel message from Acts 2:38, and God opened their hearts to understand our message. They repented of their sins, believed and we’re baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This new young house church will be under the leadership and spiritual care of pastor Melkio the existing leader of the Kogaja house church.

INDOOR MEETINGS
During the evenings and daytime we held Bible studies with the new converts to get them started in regular bible study. The outcome was largely positive but some need help to purchase Bibles.

CHALLENGES FACED:

Sadly, on the 4th day of our ministry, Elder Glack Samson started feeling unwell, and he was rushed to a nearby medical hospital, where he spent the whole of night, undergoing treatment. He was diagnosed as having fever and malaria, resulting in body pain, runny nose and headache. We thank God that after considerable prayer, he was healed. We appreciated your help to pay his medical bill.

KHC FOURTH COMING MISSION TRIP:
As I have mentioned, we have held 16 mission trips, and all these  trips have been solely funded  by brother Ron.
We kindly request well wishers, friends and believers in Jesus Christ to help join hands with brother Ron in supporting the KHC movement.
Our next mission trip will be to KOKENDI  & ONG’ER house churches on September 14th-19th and we are praying and trusting God to help provide the funds.

If you would like to help financially support the KHC movement you can do by clicking on the Donation icon on the Home Page.

WHAT IS GOD’S CALL ON YOUR LIFE?

“You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you. These things I command you, that you love one another.” John 15:16-17

The following testimony from Joseph Kazembe from Malawi shows he is a chosen one, who has obeyed God’s command to go and bear fruit. Joseph is part of a new youth ministry, yOUT that has reached over 1,400 young people already in one year! yOUT leads them to not only the best gift of all — Jesus Christ— but also helps them discover His call on each of their lives.

Pastor Jeff Daly explains: “YOUT sprung up under our repentance ministry, national day of repentance (http://www.dayofrepentance1.org). We focus on teaching Matthew 4:17 and then John 15:16 giving each young person the unique calling on their life. All Christian denominations are included:  we give each participant a banner bearing simply “JEHOVAH NISSI”
We believe this new “wine skin” is directly from Him in these end times and He started in the very impoverished nation of Malawi to show that it is from HIM alone!”

Joseph Kazembe has left a significant position and salary in a major denomination to travel, sometimes on foot, to deliver the Gospel message all throughout Malawi. Here is his most recent email.
“Today is July 31st, we are believing God for great testimonies from young people this coming month. God continues to show us the importance of this ministry. Young people need hope, just a few minutes ago l received a message from Mathew, one of our translators, that his brother killed himself this morning by suicide. Apart from that many young people are catching Covid 19 and dying. This third wave is killing many young people. Let’s pray for Mathew too in his time of trouble. I am writing to remind the team to pray for our budget for Mchisi. We have only 6 days to go and we still need to book accomodation in Chikondi ,Hamidah and Henderson. Prayer moves the hearts of people to do something l thank you all for your prayers. Printing of additional repentance route booklets is needed as many pastors needs the booklet in Mchisi.”
Joseph Kazembe

As many of you know I support the Kenya House Church Movement in Kenya and have been seeking donations to fund new Missional trips and for Bibles for the new House Churches that are being established in these new regions. Here is another request for funds this time for repentance route booklets for Malawi. If you would like to help you can use the Donations icon on the Home Page. I would also appreciate an email to ron@bakb.com.au to let me know how you would like to be involved, e.g. I connect with the KHC leaders every 3 months by Zoom. It would be good to have other supporters join the Zoom meetings.
