KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

Kenya House Church (KHC) mission trip to Osiri (Gold) region. March 9th, 2022 to March 14th, 2022.

The leaders considered the visit successful as another House Church was established with eight members. The Holy spirit’s presence was evident with healing and miracles during the many meetings.

Some of the highlights: we witnessed an elderly man and his wife turning back to Christ Jesus. A young man and his entire household surrendered their lives to Jesus. The sick were healed, and a demon-possessed person was liberated from demonic oppression.

At one point, a man and his wife stood up in the midst of the assembly and testified about the many years they have lived under an ancestral curse, something the couple said hindered them from having children. We laid hands on the couple and prayed for deliverance. We rebuked every evil spirit of ancestral curses.

Many people gave their testimonies and expressed their appreciation for us making the effort to come and visit with them. They hope we will return soon to bring more people in their village to Jesus Christ.

Another highlight was our evangelism team visited a nearby secondary school, and ministered to teachers and students.

A HOUSE CHURCH ESTABLISHED:

As mentioned a new House Church of Eight (8) members was founded at OSIRI gold mine. Mr, Daniel Moi was appointed as the pastoral leader of this new house church.

FORTHCOMING MISSION TRIPS:

KHC has suspended its field mission trip for April as Ron Edwards of Living Eternal Now is visiting Kenya April 13th to April 23rd before travelling to Arusha, in Tanzania, and later to the Republic of Rwanda.

A three-day meeting is planned with up to twenty KHC leaders from Easter Sunday, April 17th to Tuesday, April 19th. It will be a Tent Meeting hosted by Mubachi or Nyarombo house church. Ron has purchased a large TV Screen and a technician will be present to enable a Zoom Meeting with Creation Ministries International (CMI) and Ron can present PowerPoint presentations.

PRAYER REQUEST:  We are appealing to all LEN followers, friends, and KHC leaders to put in their prayers, Ron Edwards’s upcoming trip to Africa and for God’s help to provide him with sufficient funds to enable him to cover all of his trip expenses.

Mr. William with his wife, the couple who have lived under an ancestral curse and are unable to have children. They have been married for 25 yrs.
The praise and worship were sincere and changed lives were evident to all.
Mrs Anjeline Opiyo and other family members remorsefully testified of the many years of living without acknowledging Christ in their lives. This family of five surrendered their lives to Christ.
KHC evangelism team ministering in a nearby secondary school. Led by pastor Jacob & Julius, the team ministered the gospel message of salvation and Jesus second coming to rapture the church, to school teachers.
Members of Osiri House Church are attentively listening to the gospel message of the Millennial Kingdom and Jesus’ soon second coming.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

We are progressing well with our discipleship ministry in Kehancha in Kuria but it is very hard here. The region is very dry with no green vegetation, and there is a scarcity of water and food. Our people are walking 3kms to fetch water from a borehole for drinking and cooking. It has been hard work for our evangelism team to reach farmers in the field and minister to them. Some of the people here testified that they have never heard about the gospel of Jesus Christ.

KHC mission trip to Kehancha in Kuria region, Tent ministry – pastor Julius ministering the gospel message Jan 17th, 2022

We held tent discipleship and outdoor evangelism meetings. In every place, and at every point, we ministered, we were able to feel the  Holy spirit’s presence touching and convicting the hearts of many people to repentance with many people coming to believe in Jesus Christ. And as a result, many gave powerful testimonies.

You can see pastor Jacob gathering with some of these families under one of the few trees left standing and sharing with them the gospel message. There is abject poverty, no chairs to sit on, people are standing some sat on stones and wooden logs. Keep us in your prayers. Thankfully your financial help was received.

We ministered the gospel message in various homes, to the pastoralists out in the field, even to the school children, and also to the business people in the marketplace. Unlike our past mission trips, this time we conducted a women’s ministry, and this was as a result of a large number of women present in our meetings.

A hairstylist, Mrs. Rhoda Opiyo testified she lost her job three weeks before we stepped into that region. The reason given was that she was talking too much about Christ, evidence of Christians being persecuted for their belief in Christ Jesus.

Sadly, none of these twelve members have Bibles. We had funds to buy one Bible for the leader of the women’s group.

We hope to raise funds for more Bibles and would appreciate your help in this regard.

If you would like to help me support the Kenya House Church Movement you can do so on the Home Page by clicking the Donations button. I do not ask for funds to support my ministry but feel called to support the growth of House Churches in countries that can do with help.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

MISSION TRIP  TO  LONDIANI, KENYA NOVEMBER 2nd – 9th.

Report by Pastor Charles Owino:

We safely arrived Londiani Tuesday afternoon November 2nd. We were welcomed by Pastor Omwenga and the eight members of the house church. In the evening, after opening prayers, we held our first market place meeting.

PREACHING & TEACHING MEETINGS:
We were  able to conduct indoor and outdoor meetings at different locations ministering to many people. God did mighty works through us in all our meetings, many people believed and surrendered their lives to Christ, and were baptized.
INDOOR MEETINGS:
Many people turned up to our house meetings to hear the gospel message. Many were moved by the Gospel message and nine people opened their hearts to Jesus Christ, believed and repented from their sins and were baptised. One of these was a young man who gave his life to Lord Jesus Christ, he repented and later testified of his past sinful deeds as a thug. He is pictured both being prayed for and giving his testimony to the group.

Two women who admitted to being prostitutes upon hearing our gospel message, stepped forward, knelt down to receive prayer, the two women believed and repented from their sins, and later gave their testimonies.

Testimony given by Dorcas Awino:
“After completion of secondary school, I walked out of my family and moved to Kericho to get a job, after six months of failing to get a job, I was persuaded by my closest girl friend to  join her in prostitution. We would stay in the house all day, but at night, we would stand along the streets, half naked in bikkini shorts. Men took us to large bars, there we would  drink beer and dance discos and later these men would take us to the lodgings for all night sex. I thank God today for touching my life, I decided to surrender my life to Jesus Christ, and start living my life for Him. I now believe I’m his child forever, loved, washed clean by his shed blood. And His joy and strength is now in my life forever.

Healings and Deliverance:

Men and women who were demon possed we’re healed and delivered. As pictured Mrs Odhiambo with elephantiasis was not healed immediately but two weeks after we got a report from her husband who is a village elder and from the daughter that she is healed and pain free. (I will ask Charles to get a picture of her healed leg.)

A NEW HOUSE CHURCH FOUNDED:
As a result of the work done through us by God in this region of Londiani, a new house church of eight members was birthed. This new young house church will be under elder Gedion, but he will  be helped and strengthened by pastor Omwenga of Ogembo House Church, and this will continue until brother Gedion become strong and fully built up and mature in the faith such that he can stand alone with the church.

FORTHCOMING KHC MISSION TRIP,  NOVEMBER 26TH – 30TH:

Our next mission trip will be to  LIDHA, BUEMBU, NYAROMBO AND BONDO house churches.
As I have mentioned, we have held 20 mission trips and all these trips have been solely funded  by brother Ron. We kindly request well wishers, friends and believers in Jesus Christ to help join hands with brother Ron in supporting KHC movement to go on this planned mission trip.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT

EMAIL FROM PASTOR CHARLES OTIENO OWINO CONCERNING A MISSION TRIP TO LONDIANI

We are on the way travelling to Londiani, and we have almost covered 3kms away from Migori. I pray and trust God to lead us on the trip and go ahead of us.
It is very difficult for me and my team financially, poor contributions were realized from our house churches, and therefore we do have not enough budget for the trip.
We thought of cancelling our trip because of lack of funds, but I had hope of your funding our trip, knowing full well you sometimes make a transfer of funds at the last hour. I’m discouraged that you lack funds to send, but strongly encouraged because it is God’s work, and He never disappoints his disciples.
I strongly put my trust in Him, despite the financial lack for the trip, believing He is still able to provide to support this mission. I will keep focused on Him and keep praying for the success of this mission trip to this far region.
God willing, you will be able to transfer some funds when money comes in your hand.
It seems to be going very difficult for us, but kindly put us in your prayers for a successful trip and a positive outcome to be realized.
 I will keep you posted.
Let us keep in touch,
Blessings, Charles

I felt led to put this post up. Perhaps God wants to use you to support Charles and his team. If you feel led, you can donate on my Home Page by clicking on the DONATION icon

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT UPDATE

REPORT FROM PASTOR CHARLES LEADER OF THE KHC MOVEMENT

Hi, Ron. I’m very much thankful for your support of Pastor Alfred. Plans are underway with KHC leaders to give Alfred’s mother a worthy burial service. I will be meeting with KHC leaders at Alfred’s parents home on Saturday for the final touches ahead of the burial on 19th. And in front of KHC leaders, I will hand over the money you sent to Alfred.
In regards to transfer of funds, our position which I believe is also yours, firmly remains that all funds for KHC are to be channelled to me here. KHC will not be responsible for any misuse of funds directed to any person working outside of the KHC movement.
With guidance of the Holy Spirit, we are trying to ensure that any money sent to do the work of God is used wisely.
We do still have a lot to be done here. And you will remember the uncompleted projects like computer for Zoom meetings, printing machine for daily LEN teachings. Upcoming KHC mission trips will also require funds.
I am working on the report of our last mission trip which  I will put together with the upcoming burial of Alfred’s mother for submission to you.

KHC –  NEXT MISSION TRIP:
KHC team will be planting a new house church at  LONDIANI within Kericho county, several kilometres away from Migori region. There is a great need for the people in that small town to hear the Gospel, and after our long prayers the Holy spirit is directing us to step into that place with the Gospel on November 2nd – 9th, 2021
The connection  to visit the place came from two brothers after they had attended our teachings at Ogembo house church in Kisii  region.
More about our trip and request for funds will be made known to you on Saturday after the KHC leaders meeting.

If you would like to join with me in supporting the Kenya House Church Movement I have a DONATE icon on the Home Page where you can do so.

EMAIL FROM PASTOR ALFRED
Praying for your good health and peace. A successful final send off of my late mother was conducted today at my parent’s home. The burial which was presided over by Pastor Charles, KHC leaders and nearly all the house church believers in our region were present. I’m very much thankful to you all, and to all those who contributed their finances to help me with the hospital bill plus other expenses for the burial. Your prayers and encouragement also played a big role in the life and family of my deceased mother. She was a believer and I believe she has gone to rest with the Lord.
Thank you ALL.
These are pictures taken during the burial.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MISSION TRIP

REPORT FROM PASTOR CHARLES OTIENO OWINO LEADER OF THE KENYA HOUSE CHURCH (KHC) MOVEMENT

The report provides a brief summary of the history of the movement and more detail on their 16th mission trip of the year to Kogaja

We are happy to express our gratitude to brother Ron for his financial support and to any of the friends and followers of LEN that are praying for us.
As you may know, KHC began in 2010, and our main calling and mission is making disciples and planting house churches. Thankfully, your prayers and support have helped us reach and win many souls for Christ, and establish house churches in different regions of Kenya and in the republic of Tanzania.
Up-to-date, we have planted thirteen house churches, with twelve in Kenya and one in Tanzania. All these have been as a result of prayers and God’s leading.
We are praying and trusting God to help provide Bibles for the three most recently established house churches, namely, Ogembo – Kisii, Kenya – Lidha – Nyatike, Kenya and Nyamuzi -Tanzania.

RECENT TRIP TO KOGAJA REGION:
We safely arrived at Kogaja and were welcomed by Pastor Melkio, the leader of the one established house church there. That evening was largely spent in prayer, with the leaders, committing the mission trip to our Lord.

The four day trip was comprised of both Tent Meetings and evangelism in the marketplace, homes and even on buses.
Many people came to our Gospel Tent Meetings. The Holy spirit gave many of them the power to understand our gospel message. Many lives were touched, changed and healed by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Our evangelism team went wherever people congregated to preach the Gospel message. Led by elder, Glack Samson, they visited a market place, and shared the gospel message with many people. Ten people opened their hearts to Jesus Christ! One of these an elderly woman gave her testimony at one of our meetings:
” Due to many bad things that happened to me I decided to abandon God and was not interested in Christianity. But after hearing the word of God I understood more about  the love of God. And how Jesus gave Himself to die on my behalf for my sins. Today, I decided to receive Jesus in my life as my personal Saviour! His Joy and strength is now in my life forever, and one day I will enter with Him in His Kingdom”. Amen

Pastor Maurice ministering to people on a bus

A NEW NINE MEMBER HOUSE CHURCH FOUNDED:

A new house church was established on the outskirts of Kogaja. We found some people there who confessed belief in God and Jesus but were not born again believers. They were open to us preaching the gospel message from Acts 2:38, and God opened their hearts to understand our message. They repented of their sins, believed and we’re baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. This new young house church will be under the leadership and spiritual care of pastor Melkio the existing leader of the Kogaja house church.

INDOOR MEETINGS
During the evenings and daytime we held Bible studies with the new converts to get them started in regular bible study. The outcome was largely positive but some need help to purchase Bibles.

CHALLENGES FACED:

Sadly, on the 4th day of our ministry, Elder Glack Samson started feeling unwell, and he was rushed to a nearby medical hospital, where he spent the whole of night, undergoing treatment. He was diagnosed as having fever and malaria, resulting in body pain, runny nose and headache. We thank God that after considerable prayer, he was healed. We appreciated your help to pay his medical bill.

KHC FOURTH COMING MISSION TRIP:
As I have mentioned, we have held 16 mission trips, and all these  trips have been solely funded  by brother Ron.
We kindly request well wishers, friends and believers in Jesus Christ to help join hands with brother Ron in supporting the KHC movement.
Our next mission trip will be to KOKENDI  & ONG’ER house churches on September 14th-19th and we are praying and trusting God to help provide the funds.

If you would like to help financially support the KHC movement you can do by clicking on the Donation icon on the Home Page.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT IN NEED OF BIBLES

I have helped the Kenya House Church Movement for two years now particularly to move outside of the Migori region. As a result, House Churches have been set up in Ogembo in Kisii, Lidha in Nyatike and Nyamuzi in Tanzania.

The most recent was a return trip last month to Lidha in Nyatike County. Lidha is a beachside town on the shores of Lake Victoria. Nyatike is a sub county within the region of Migori.

Charles and his leadership team were invited back to Lidha by Mr Daniel Odhiambo and his team. Daniel had been appointed leader of the new House Church Group that Charles, and the leaders that had accompanied him, had set up on their previous trip to the county.

The pressing need is for bibles for these newly established House Churches in all three regions. If you would like to join me in supporting the growth of House Churches in Kenya you can do so by clicking on the Donations icon on the Home Page.

CHARLES TRIP REPORT

“We were delighted by the reception we received from Daniel and the other members of the House Church.

We had successful indoor and outdoor meetings.
INDOORS- we conducted several indoor meetings delivering the gospel message to those who came to our Tent Meetings.
God through the Holy spirit gave us power and authority to cast out demons from people who were possessed by evil spirits. There was a young lady brought into our meeting who had suffered at the hands of a magician and witch doctor. Her parents told us that she had been possessed by demonic spirits for two years. She had been in year three at school at the time and was unable to continue with her schooling. We prayed for her and by the power of the Holy spirit she was delivered from several demons.

Later, we were able to teach her the word of God, she repented and believed in the name of Jesus Christ. We also found out that she had been introduced to witchcraft by a girl friend.
OUTDOORS  – Everyday, our evangelism team went out taking the gospel message to different homes, beaches and  small islands. They were able to meet people at their places of business, teaching and sharing with them the gospel message and praying with them.
Reaching them at their place of business was the best method of meeting them ,since the people living around the  lake are mostly fishermen, fishing is the main economic activity in this area so much of their time is spent on the lake and at the beach selling the produce from the lake.
Thankfully, we were able to meet many who were receptive to our gospel message.
God was on our side with the power of the Holy spirit present, convicting the hearts of many to believe our message and come to repentance. It resulted in many being saved in the name of Jesus Christ.

Thankfully, the Holy spirit strengthened us all until we finished our five days mission. No one fell ill or felt weary.
The stand out achievement of the trip was the birth of a new House Church at Lidha  It consists of six people and will be mentored by the leader of the other House church, Daniel Odhiambo.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT MISSION TRIP TO KISII

REPORT FROM PASTOR CHARLES

A wide door was open to our team and a warm reception was accorded to us by Mr Omwenga and his team. when we visited them at Ogembo in the Kisii region. God’s grace and favour was upon us granting peace and safety as we ministered to Kisii village administrators and local residents.
MEETINGS:
We held our indoor and out door meetings peacefully. This was answer to prayer as we had opposition on our previous trip. Our evangelism teams were able to go out most days visiting homes to pray and share the word of God with those who couldn’t come to our Central place of meeting. Gladly, all teams were able to report back with positive messages and good testimonies.
MIRACLES, SIGNS & WONDERS:
Led by elder Samson and pastor Jacob, our team entered the  home of Mr Nyakakundi, this family had been involved in a land dispute, which previously had caused intense conflict and even death amongst family members. Our team members were able to share the word of God, pray with them, and with the help of the Holy spirit they were able to forgive each other and we’re reconciled. Despite the fact that the case was already before the high court judge, they resolved to withdraw the case and settle it out of court.

In the house of Mr Odondi, our team ministered to a sick woman who was seriously bitten and injured  by a rogue dog. She was at the point of being taken to a medical facility, but before the ambulance arrived, Alfred and his team turned up, they prayed for her, she vomited and was instantly healed. She was praising God when the ambulance arrived. She later repented, believed and accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Saviour.
In one of our tent meetings, a woman under the influence of witchcraft heard our gospel message. She repented, surrendered herself to Jesus as her Saviour and Lord. She knew instantly what she had to do. She went home and brought all her items of witchcraft back to the meeting to be destroyed as a witness to all present.
On another day, our team visited a health facility, and upon entering, they met a woman who had a severe leg wound, was sufferings from strong pain, and couldn’t walk. She was prayed for and later testified the pain was gone. Subsequently, she also gave her life to Jesus Christ .
On one occasion, led by pastor Charles and Seth, we were able to minister to a few men and women under trees. We shared with them the gospel message and prayed with them, and many believed in the name of Jesus Christ.
In many of our meetings, we were able to minister to both the sick and people with disabilities where many were healed. Amazing testimonies were shared and much praise given to our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We had a wonderful and blessed trip for which we were all very thankful. We were also humbled as the Holy Spirit was present with healing miracles, signs and wonders. The birth of a new church group in Ogembo village, Kisii was a highlight.
A NEW HOUSE CHURCH BIRTHED:
The new home group comprises eight people. We are praying and trusting God to provide this new church group with copies of Holy Bibles.
APPRECATION:
I want to give my thanks and appreciation to Brother Ron Edwards and the LEN team, together with the  KHC leaders, this is for your prayers and financial  support you have offered and provided to our movement.
Your prayers and support has so much contributed greatly to the growth of KHC movement. And without you, our movement wouldn’t have reached out beyond Migori, and we would not have managed to fulfil our call of making disciples.

I do hope that some of my followers will join me in supporting the Kenya House Church Movement with a small monthly donation. I will keep you informed of where they money is spent and you can join me on Zoom meetings with the KHC leaders. To do so go to the Donations icon on the Home Page. If you want more information email me on ron@bakb.com.au.

KENYA HOUSE CHURCHES MISSION TRIP

FORTHCOMING MISSION TRIP TO KISII  REGION ON 14TH -18TH JULY, 2021

God opened the door for us in this region as a result of a previous trip by pastors, Charles, Maurice and Jacob. Two House churches were established: one in BUEMBU and the other in KARUNGU.

Maps showing Kisii in relation to Migori where Charles is based

A special invitation has been on our desk now for 2 months, wanting us to take our discipleship ministry back there.
After repeated prayers seeking direction and leading from God, we feel led by the Holy spirit to visit this region on July 14th-18th, so that we may fulfil our Macedonian call “come over here and help us”

The need and request was received from five Christian brothers who live in the region, one of which is an ex Muslim.
In our last meeting, we resolved to raise Kshs 67,000/ approx. Au$ 658. Until now, the leaders and KHC believers have raised a total of Kshs 37,000 which is not enough. Hence, the KHC movement and the board of  elders is requesting our friends, LEN and  partners in the work of ministry to help fund our trip with the remaining amount of money of Kshs 30,000/ approx. Au$ 380. Your support for KHC movement will be highly appreciated and will be for God’s glory!
Yours,
Leader & Founder KHC movement.
Charles.

I have been blessed to be able to assist the KHC Movement for sometime now and will continue to do so. I am a pensioner now so am limited in what I can do. I would appreciate any LEN follower out there who feels led to join me in supporting the KHC Movement. You can do so by making a donation on the Donation link on the Home Page.

REPORT FROM THE KENYA HOUSE CHURCH MOVEMENT

REPORT FROM CHARLES ON THE DEATH OF GADDAFI, SON OF THE LEADER OF THE NYAROMBO HOUSE CHURCH:
The sad news of the death of Gaddafi, the son of the  former Roman Catholic priest now leading the newly formed Nyarombo house church group, was received by us from Pastor Jacob, on the morning of Monday before making our way back home from our mission trip to Nyamuzi in Tanzania.
Gaddafi was aged 16 yrs old and was a believer. He was suffering from Tuberculosis. His father said, he had been suffering from the disease for a long time. Sadly if they had had the money it could have been treated successfully.
You will remember that Nyarombo house church was recently founded by the grace of God. The power of the Holy spirit made it possible to open the understanding of our brother (the father to the deceased) and his family to hear the gospel message. The Nyarombo church group was birthed as a result of his conversion.
Kenya house Church movement (KHC) with the help of brother Ron Edwards, was able to help with all the preparations for the funeral and on Friday, June 11th/2021, we conducted the burial, and it was very successful. Despite a few challenges, because it followed so closely to our mission trip to Tanzania.
KHC movement, and the Nyarombo house church, is very much thankful and do appreciate brother Ron Edwards for his  financial support he helped give to the grieving family to help pay a hospital medical bill for the late Gaddafi.
Personally, I give my gratitude to all our KHC movement team for their support and commitment to ensure the burial outcome was positive..
Below is the attached pictures for the burial of the late GADDAFI.
Thank you ALL for your prayers, commitment and support.

We also have your prayers in 💓

Shalom,Shalom.
Charles
