1. More focus on what’s important. One Christian wrote, “I feel like I’ve been more observant, it has forced me to slow down and see things that I wouldn’t normally see or appreciate.” Another wrote, “Less distractions. More time to focus on our creator.More time for prayer.” This pandemic is forcing us to prioritize and remember what’s truly important in life.
2. God has got my attention. Because of the removal of distractions, Christians are able to hear God and respond to the Holy Spirit’s leading. One Christian wrote, “God has brought His Word out loud and clear, spoken in song and on social media. His people, the Church, have risen and are staying connected and meeting needs.”
3. Reconnecting with family. This was one of the most popular responses. Being forced to stay at home, people are able to reconnect with family in meaningful ways. One wrote, “Very much enjoy working at home with my lovely wife.” Another shared, “The gift of extra time and conversation with my adult children that I didn’t expect to have.” A third wrote, “Given us sweet family time.”
4. Great interactions with neighbors. A famous command by Jesus is to love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22:39). But since most of us live life on the go, we don’t have much meaningful time to interact with our neighbors. These stay-at-home orders that many of us are experiencing is changing all that. One Christian shared, “love seeing all my neighbors out in the pretty spring weather playing with their kids and pets.” Another wrote, “more opportunities to encourage others and talk about my hope in the Lord.”
5. Rest in God. Whether by choice or not, people are seeing the benefits of slowing down and finding the rest that only comes in God. One Christian wrote that through this crisis, she’s been able to “rest in God and depend more on Him.” Another shared, “I got closer to Jesus.”
If you are afraid of contracting this disease, pray to God to help you get over the fear of the virus. Remember, “The Spirit God gave us does not make us afraid. His Spirit is a source of power and love and self-control“. (2 Timothy 1:7, ERV)
If after prayers, you are still not able to banish the fear of the virus from you, stay home, stay safe, and keep trusting God (Philippians 4:6–7; 1 Peter 5:7).
The following scripture is one that has been helpful for me in tough times. Jesus made it possible for our Heavenly Father to send the Holy Spirit to be our comforter as well as our counsellor and teacher.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you. Do not quench the Spirit. Do not despise prophecies, but test everything; hold fast what is good.” 1 Thessalonians 5:16
Remember, pestilence is just one of the end times signs that Jesus told us would warn us of His return to earth.
“Then he (Jesus) said to them, “Nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. There will be great earthquakes and in various places famines and pestilences.” Luke 21:10-11
Unprecedented famine conditions not seen in the last 40 years are gripping parts of Africa. Back-to-back droughts, COVID-19, and the effects of the Ukraine war have created dire conditions for the eastern region. Fadumo Abdi Aliyow has just buried her two sons on the outskirts of Mogadishu, Somalia. She lays a thorny branch on their graves to protect their bodies from wild animals. Both died from starvation. “I wanted to die before them so they could bury me, but both of them died before me,” Aliyow said. Somalia and its neighbours in the Horn of Africa, including Ethiopia and Kenya, are facing unprecedented drought conditions. “We’ve had four failed rains,” said Alex Marianelli with the World Food Program (WFP). “The drought that we are currently seeing in the Horn of Africa is the worst drought in over 40 years.”
On average, one person dies every 48 seconds from hunger in the Horn of Africa. “Because of the drought, many water sources have dried up,” Wafaa Saeed Abdelatef, a UNICEF representative warned. “Many wells have also dried up.” With crops failing, the United Nations says some 22 million people are at risk of starvation, many of them farmers who only grow enough food to feed their own families. “People will be forced to flee to look for food,” warned Rein Paulsen with the U.N.’s Food and Agriculture Organization. “People will have to try and find a way to survive and obviously this entails very perilous journeys for people who are already marginalized.” Many in the region who rely on livestock for livelihood have seen massive numbers of their animals wiped out.
“For example, in northern Kenya, we’ve lost about 1.5 million herds of livestock,” Joseph Kamara with World Vision Kenya, said. “Similarly, in southern Ethiopia, we’ve lost about two million. In Somalia, we’ve even stopped counting.” In Somalia alone, around eight million people, or half the population, are experiencing crisis hunger levels. One-in-three children face chronic malnutrition. “I have been shocked to my core these past few days by the level of pain and suffering we see so many Somalis enduring. Famine is at the door,” said Martin Griffiths, the United Nations’ humanitarian chief. Anne Kasombo oversees CBN’s offices in Kenya. In partnership with Operation Blessing, they’ve been distributing food and other aid supplies to some of the hardest-hit regions of her country.
“It’s been quite devastating in some communities, especially in the arid areas, even when there’s rain, food is hard to come by because they’re not able to grow their food,” Kasombo said. Four consecutive droughts and African economies still reeling from the coronavirus pandemic have created these dire conditions. “The situation has been aggravated by the current conflict in Europe between Russia and Ukraine,” Kamara said. Before the war, Somalia imported 90 percent of its wheat from Russia and Ukraine while Ethiopia imported 42 percent. Kenya, which also imports oil, iron, steel, and fertilizers from Russia and Ukraine, imports 44 percent of its wheat from both countries. All that has come to a screeching halt since the war started. The result: skyrocketing prices for practically everything. “It has really affected us, especially on food prices,” Richard, a resident of Nairobi, said. “It has also affected the cost of fuel.”
“When the fuel prices go up, the production cost is high, so everything is affected,” Allis, another resident of Nairobi, said. A new survey just out found that most of Kenya are forced to dip into their savings or take out loans to meet the rising cost of living. “It’s been a buildup: From COVID, to inflation, to drought, to war in Ukraine,” Kasombo said. “So just before one situation gets better, another one crops up so the impact has been quite deep and long. It’s devastating. It’s been tough on families.” In late August, the first ship carrying grain from Ukraine docked on the Horn of Africa offloading some 23,000 tons of wheat. “That’s enough wheat to feed 1.5 million people for about a month,” Marianelli of WFP said. Food experts say that’s a drop in the bucket considering the immediate crisis facing millions across the Horn of Africa.
Jesus warned us as recorded in all three gospels Matthew Mark and Luke of the signs that would precede His second coming particularly the increasing persecution that Christians will endure so we can be prepared.
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:9-14
Three of the end times signs given by Jesus before He returns to rescue the saints and to pour out His wrath on an unrepentant world are:
Wars and rumours of wars – Russia, China, North Korea
Famines – The ECONOMIST report in this post
Pestilences – Covid 19 is just the beginning
“For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, andthere will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are but the beginning of the birth pains.” Matthew 24:7-8
“When he opened the fourth seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say, “Come!” And I looked, and behold, a pale horse! And its rider’s name was Death, and Hades followed him. And they were given authority over a fourth of the earth, to kill with sword and withfamine and with pestilence and by wild beasts of the earth.” Revelation 6:8
The following report is from THE ECONOMIST on May 20th 2022.
By invading Ukraine, Vladimir Putin will destroy the lives of people far from the battlefield — and on a scale, that even he may regret. The war is battering a global food system weakened by Covid-19, climate change, and an energy shock. Ukraine’s exports of grain and oilseeds have mostly stopped and Russia’s are threatened. Together, the two countries supply 12 percent of traded calories. Wheat prices, up 53 per cent since the start of the year, jumped a further 6 six per cent on May 16th, after India said it would suspend exports because of an alarming heatwave.
The widely accepted idea of a cost-of-living crisis does not begin to capture the gravity of what may lie ahead. António Guterres, the UN secretary-general, warned on May 18th that the coming months threaten “the spectre of a global food shortage” that could last for years. The high cost of staple foods has already raised the number of people who cannot be sure of getting enough to eat by 440m, to 1.6bn. Nearly 250m are on the brink of famine. If, as is likely, the war drags on and supplies from Russia and Ukraine are limited, hundreds of millions more people could fall into poverty. Political unrest will spread, children will be stunted and people will starve.
Mr Putin must not use food as a weapon. Shortages are not the inevitable outcome of war. World leaders should see hunger as a global problem urgently requiring a global solution
Russia and Ukraine supply 28 per cent of globally traded wheat, 29 per cent of barley, 15 per cent of maize, and 75 per cent of the sunflower oil. Russia and Ukraine contribute about half the cereals imported by Lebanon and Tunisia; for Libya and Egypt, the figure is two-thirds. Ukraine’s food exports provide the calories to feed 400m people. The war is disrupting these supplies because Ukraine has mined its waters to deter an assault, and Russia is blockading the port of Odesa.
Even before the invasion, the World Food Programme had warned that 2022 would be a terrible year. China, the largest wheat producer, has said that, after rains delayed planting last year, this crop may be its worst ever. Now, in addition to the extreme temperatures in India, the world’s second-largest producer, a lack of rain threatens to sap yields in other breadbaskets, from America’s wheat belt to the Beauce region of France. The Horn of Africa is being ravaged by its worst drought in four decades. Welcome to the era of climate change.
All this will have a grievous effect on the poor. Households in emerging economies spend 25 per cent of their budgets on food — and in sub-Saharan Africa as much as 40 per cent. In Egypt bread provides 30 per cent of all calories. In many importing countries, governments cannot afford subsidies to increase the help to the poor, especially if they also import energy — another market in turmoil.
The crisis threatens to get worse. Ukraine had already shipped much of last summer’s crop before the war. Russia is still managing to sell its grain, despite added costs and risks for shippers. However, those Ukrainian silos that are undamaged by the fighting are full of corn and barley. Farmers have nowhere to store their next harvest, due to start in late June, which may therefore rot. And they lack the fuel and labour to plant the one after that. Russia, for its part, may lack some supplies of the seeds and pesticides it usually buys from the European Union.
In spite of soaring grain prices, farmers elsewhere in the world may not make up the shortfall. One reason is that prices are volatile. Worse, profit margins are shrinking, because of the surging prices of fertiliser and energy. These are farmers’ main costs and both markets are disrupted by sanctions and the scramble for natural gas. If farmers cut back on fertiliser, global yields will be lower at just the wrong time.
The response by worried politicians could make a bad situation worse. Since the war started, 23 countries from Kazakhstan to Kuwait have declared severe restrictions on food exports that cover 10 per cent of globally traded calories. More than one-fifth of all fertiliser exports are restricted. If trade stops, famine will ensue.
Jesus warns us that at the time of His second coming to earth the world will be like it was during the time Noah lived.
“For as were the days of Noah, so will be the coming of the Son of Man. For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day when Noah entered the ark, and they were unaware until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of Man.” Matthew 24:37-39
What was it like in Noah’s day? It was much like it is becoming today as God’s values and God’s Word are being trashed. It is leading up to the prophesied time when God will once again pour out His wrath upon the earth with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements.
“Now the earth was corrupt in God’s sight, and the earth was filled with violence. And God saw the earth, and behold, it was corrupt, for all flesh had corrupted their way on the earth. And God said to Noah, “I have determined to make an end of all flesh, for the earth is filled with violence through them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.” Genesis 6:11-13
In Revelation 6, when Jesus opens the sixth seal around the scroll containing the Trumpet and Bowl judgements He reveals He is about to release the wrath of God on the earth. It is at the trumpet blast when the seventh seal is opened that the Saints are raptured to meet Jesus in the sky and only then are the trumpet and bowl judgements released consecutively.
When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake, and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, and the stars of the sky fell to the earth as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale. The sky vanished like a scroll that is being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place. Then the kings of the earth and the great ones and the generals and the rich and the powerful, and everyone, slave and free, hid themselves in the caves and among the rocks of the mountains, calling to the mountains and rocks, “Fall on us and hide us from the face of him who is seated on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb, for the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?” Revelation 6:12-17
We know that at the fifth seal the Saints have not been raised from the dead or raptured because John sees the souls of the martyred under the altar asking God how long will it be before He judges the wicked.
“When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne. They cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before you will judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the earth?”Revelation 6:9-10
Moreover, it is shortly after the seventh seal has been opened with a trumpet blast that John now sees resurrected and raptured saints clothed in white robes from every tribe and nation standing before the throne praising God the Father and the Son.
“After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!”Revelation 7:9-10
The timing of the rapture is important: God allows the Saints to be tested when Satan is allowed to persecute the Saints during the time of tribulation but God does not pour out His wrath upon the Saints with the Trumpet and Bowl judgements.
Former Vice President Mark Pence spoke at a Young America’s Foundation event at the University of Virginia. He revealed what is happening in the USA under Biden’s Democrat government. Whether in the form of Critical Race Theory, Marxist propaganda, or radical gender theory, the Left has launched a full-fledged assault on the USA society, depriving the people of freedom, prosperity, and security, he said.
Pence is concerned that this may be the last generation that has a chance to restore Godly values. Sadly, God has shown us in His Word that lawlessness will increase in the last days, moreover, the Antichrist will have his prophesied time ruling the nations. The Rapture of the Saints and the wrath of God poured out on the unrepentant are then next on God’s end-times timetable.
Mike Pence’s efforts are commendable but his comment that the best days for America are yet to come is wrong and will not help prepare Christians for the coming tribulation.
Jesus speaking to His disciples on the “end times” said, “And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. “Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And then many will be offended, will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up and deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end shall be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.” Matthew 24:7-14
Long before we ever heard of the new coronavirus, African Swine Fever was devastating pork farms from one end of China to the other. There is no vaccine for “pig ebola”, there is no cure, and once it hits a farm the only thing that can be done is to kill every single pig so that it won’t spread anywhere else. But even though draconian measures have been implemented, it has just kept spreading, and at this point “about two-thirds of China’s swineherd has been lost”… Video of people fighting over pork at Chinese meat counters will likely become more common as the fallout from the African swine fever outbreak in China progresses.
Brett Stuart, president of the market research and analysis firm Global AgriTrends, estimates that about two-thirds of China’s swineherd has been lost to the disease and contrary to official government reports of recovery, more pigs are dying every day as ASF continues to spread.
Prior to this crisis, approximately half of all the pigs in the entire world lived in China, and they would usually slaughter about 700 million a year. But now pork production has absolutely plummeted, and this is driving pork prices in China through the roof… In China itself, pork prices are at an all-time high at just under $300 per hundredweight and the country outbids Japan, which is usually the top bidder. Food inflation is soaring and some Chinese people have been unable to buy pork in six months.
Meanwhile, there has been a very alarming resurgence of the H5N1 bird flu in China. According to the Daily Mail, more than 17,000 chickens have been culled in an effort to keep this new outbreak from spreading further. According to the Reuters report, Chinese authorities have already culled 17,828 poultry in the wake of the outbreak.
Unlike African Swine Fever, humans can become infected by the H5N1 bird flu. And according to the World Health Organisation, the mortality rate for human cases is approximately 60 percent.
Alarmingly, the H5N1 bird flu has also popped up at a facility in India. Authorities in an eastern Indian state will start culling chickens and destroying eggs from Tuesday to contain a bird flu virus of the H5N1 strain, a government statement said on Monday.
We haven’t heard much about the H5N1 bird flu in recent years, but this is an extremely deadly disease, and so WHO will monitor these developments very carefully.
On top of everything else, the H1N1 swine flu is starting to spread once again. In fact, more than 100,000 people in Taiwan “sought medical treatment for flu-like symptoms at hospitals across the country over the past week” and there have been 13 confirmed deaths…
At a time when the world is panicking over a 2019-nCoV coronavirus outbreak, the H1N1 flu virus is actually posing a greater threat in Taiwan, claiming 13 lives in the country in just one week, according to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).
At a weekly meeting Friday, CDC Deputy Director-General Chuang Jen-hsiang (莊人祥) said 116,705 people sought medical treatment for flu-like symptoms at hospitals across the country over the past week, including 61 more confirmed flu cases.
Not too long ago, the H1N1 swine flu caused mass panic all over the globe.
And never before have we seen so many alarming outbreaks occur simultaneously. Could it be possible that we have entered the time of which Jesus spoke, the time before His return to rule and reign from Jerusalem?
The information in this article has been taken from an article by Michael Snyder entitled “4 Plagues Are Marching Across Asia Simultaneously: Coronavirus, African Swine Fever, H5N1 Bird Flu And H1N1 Swine Flu” in OPINION.
In 1863 President Lincoln implemented three days of humiliation, fasting and prayer with this declaration: “It is the duty of nations as well as men to own their own dependence upon the overruling power of God, to confess their sins and transgressions in humble sorrow yet with assured hope that genuine repentance will lead to mercy and pardon, and to recognise the sublime truth, announced in the Holy Scriptures and proven by all history: that those nations only are blessed whose God is the Lord.”
God does bring calamities and disasters such as firestorms, earthquakes and tornadoes for His purposes. It is invariably to make people realise they are not in control of circumstances in the world He created and maintains. Importantly, it is also to to get His own people to pray. Moreover, God tells us in advance in His Word that in the “last days” before Jesus returns that these disasters will increase in frequency. Just one of many signs, God has given us, to show we are in the last days before Jesus returns to rule and reign from Jerusalem.
“When I shut up heaven and there is no rain, or command the locusts to devour the land, or send pestilence among My people, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” 2 Chronicles 7:13-14
“And there will be signs in the sun, in the moon, and in the stars; and on the earth distress of nations, with perplexity, the sea and the waves roaring; men’s hearts failing them from fear and the expectation of those things which are coming on the earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.” Luke 21:25-26
“See that you do not refuse Him (GOD) who speaks. For if they did not escape who refused Him (JESUS) who spoke on earth, much more shall we not escape if we turn away from Him who speaks from heaven, whose voice then shook the earth; but now He has promised, saying, “Yet once more I shake not only the earth, but also heaven.” Now this, “Yet once more,” indicates the removal of those things that are being shaken, as of things that are made, that the things which cannot be shaken may remain. Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom which cannot be shaken, let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire.”Hebrews 12:25-28
Over 1,000 mostly Jewish people in Odessa, Ukraine make professions of faith during a supernatural Healing Meeting
More than 1,000 predominately Jewish people in Odessa, Ukraine, stood and made a public profession of faith during a revival meeting, says evangelist Sid Roth.
Roth, host of the charismatic television show It’s Supernatural!, tells Charisma in an exclusive interview that a supernatural peace flooded the room while he preached to the unsaved crowd.
“It’s unbelievable,” he says. “One thousand people sitting there, unsaved, and they’re so still, they’re not even getting up to go to the bathroom. … I’ll challenge anyone to talk to 1,000 unsaved Jews about Yeshua or Jesus the Messiah and have them sit through the whole lecture. And I cover Bible prophecy; I cover why Jews don’t believe; I cover everything. I don’t leave anything out. And then at the end of the meeting, that same glory that causes the miracles causes the repentance and salvation.”
Roth says miracles are common when he teaches unsaved Jewish crowds. For a while, he hesitated to share words of knowledge from the stage because he didn’t want people to see him as the healer but rather focus solely on God. But once he started sharing the words God gave him, he watched the Holy Spirit do miracles.
“I say, ‘If your pain is gone or the symptom is totally gone, I want you to stand up,’ and I’ve had as many as 60% to 70% of people, unsaved Jews, instantly stand up and say they’ve been healed,” he says. “… When the glory shows up, it’s not like laying hands on people. It’s not like the anointing. I have nothing to do with it. I can’t make it happen. I’m almost like an observer.”
Roth says about 1,000 people showed up to his lecture on the supernatural in Odessa, which took place a block away from the city’s largest synagogue. Roth says a high percentage of the audience was instantly healed during the event, and he estimates that at the end, nearly 100% rose to their feet and gave public professions of faith.
“You don’t read about Jewish people coming to the Lord in those numbers anywhere but in the New Testament,” Roth says. “It’s unprecedented.”
These kinds of numbers are so surprising, Roth says, that several Jewish believers in Jesus didn’t believe Roth was reporting the truth.
“They actually thought I was lying,” he says. “So what they did is they sent spies to my meetings. And they found out that what I always say was true.”
But Christians shouldn’t be surprised at this kind of revival, Roth says. After all, Smith Wigglesworth prophesied about a greater glory coming that would bring record numbers of people into the faith. Wigglesworth believed that revival would then spread across the world. Roth believes Jewish people will play a crucial role in that global revival.
“As these young people come to the Lord, these Jewish people come to the Lord, they’re going to revolutionize the world,” Roth says. “… I can’t call it a prophecy, but I can just say that I sense so strongly that Ukraine is going to be a Christian nation.
“Today is the day of salvation. I believe it. … I believe that as this greater glory spreads throughout the world, the whole paradigm that we know as the church and Christianity is about to change. It will be closer to the Bible than what it is today. And one of the changes will be that these great miracles will be not by a few anointed men and women of God. The least Christian is going to operate in this greater glory. Why? Because God loves humanity.”
It’s the end of June 2019, six weather and climate disaster events have been identified to date, with losses exceeding $1 billion each across the U.S. during 2019. These events included four severe storm events and two flooding events.
The middle of the country has been relentlessly hammered by endless rain and unprecedented flooding for months, and now it is about to be absolutely pummelled by Tropical Storm Barry. Needless to say, this is going to cause even more headaches for Midwestern farmers. At this point, millions of acres of prime farmland are not going to be planted at all this year, and there are tens of millions of other acres where crops are really, really struggling.
“U.S. corn will be in short supply, but emotions, fears, and hoarding could push it to shortage,” says Ned Schmidt, editor of the Agri-Food Value View Report. The “reality of the situation will develop over time, pushing December 2019 corn to $5.05” a bushel by year end
Could this be connected to what Jesus said would occur in the “last days”. “And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows.”Matthew 24:7 Within the last seven days, our planet has experienced an average of more than 677 earthquakes of magnitude 1.5 or greater per day. That means the number of global earthquakes right now is more than three times above normal. And the number of very large earthquakes is at a frighteningly high level as well. According to the United States Geological Survey (USGS), there have been 121 earthquakes of at least magnitude 4.5 around the world within the last seven days, and that includes the magnitude 6.1 earthquake that just hit Japan.
Concerning pestilences check out my recent post: Biggest Animal Disease Outbreak on Planet Earth – chicken ebola.
“Dear friends, do not be astonished that a trial by fire is occurring among you, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice in the degree that you have shared in the sufferings of Christ, so that when his glory is revealed you may also rejoice and be glad. If you are insulted for the name of Christ, you are blessed, because the Spirit of glory, who is the Spirit of God, rests on you.” 1 Pet 4:12–14
Peter does not want Christians to lose hope in the midst of adversity, which is the reason he exhorts them to keep perspective and look ahead and even rejoice of that future day when Christ’s glory is revealed.
Jesus gave the disciples the following warnings about the time of His second coming so we will be prepared for persecution in the “last days”.
“For nation will rise up against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. And there will be famines, pestilences, and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and kill you, and you will be hated by all nations for My name’s sake. And many will be offended , will betray one another, and will hate one another. Then many false prophets will rise up to deceive many. And because lawlessness will abound, the love of many will grow cold. But he who endures to the end will be saved.” Matthew 24:7-13
These are tough words and only those who truly know God, who trust God with all their heart will endure to the end.
We need to be able to say like David: ” You are my strength and shield; My heart trusts in Him and I am helped;therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him.” Psalm 28:7
You will be helped by God. He will be with you through the coming times of trouble, persecution. You need to keep an eternal focus. Hence the title of this blog: living eternal now.
