Be Prepared to Handle Persecution Like Päivi Räsänen

Christian MP says prosecution for tweeting Bible verse on homosexuality is a ‘privilege’

Finland, Päivi Räsänen

Finnish Parliament Member Päivi Räsänen authored a 2004 booklet on sexual ethics describing marriage as between one man and one woman. She also expressed her views on a 2019 radio show and tweeted church leadership on the matter.

Päivi Räsänen, who was interrogated by police for over 13 hours and questioned on how she interprets the Apostle Paul’s letters in the Bible, will appear in court next Monday over criminal charges for voicing her belief on marriage and sexuality. She faces the possibility of six years in prison for sharing her deeply held biblical beliefs on sexuality and marriage. Räsänen shows amazing courage in saying that it’s “quite a privilege” to be interrogated for her religious beliefs.

“I could never have imagined when I worked as the minister of the interior and was in charge of the police that I would be interrogated and asked that kind of questions in a police station,” the lawmaker who led the Christian Democrats party from 2004 to 2015 said.

She said police also asked her if she was ready to “renounce” her writings. “But I answered that I will stand on what I believe and I will speak about these things and write about these things also in the future because they are a matter of conviction, not only an opinion,” she said.

“I thought it was quite a privilege to have these kinds of discussions with the police,” Räsänen said in an interview with Alliance Defending Freedom International, a legal nonprofit that specializes in religious freedom cases and is supporting the 62-year-old former interior minister.

“I had many times during these hours the possibility to tell to the police the message of the Gospel, what the Bible teaches about the value of human beings, that all people are created in the image of God and that is why they all are valuable.”

It was like “giving Bible studies to the police,” she remarked.

Persecution of Christians is only going to escalate as the final prophesied tribulation that precedes the rapture of the Saints (trumpet blast at the opening of the seventh seal) and God’s wrath being poured out (Trumpet and Bowl judgements) on the unrepentant, unfold. We need to be prepared to be part of God’s disciples like Päivi Räsänen who will proclaim the gospel of the kingdom to all the world.

Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and you will be hated by all nations for my name’s sake. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another. And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. But the one who endures to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.Matthew 24:9-14

RAPTURE SCRIPTURES IN THE O.T. and N.T

Is the Rapture found in the Old Testament? There are over 12 references which totally dispels the misconception that the Rapture was a mystery until the days of the apostle Paul.

The O.T. passages explain some surprising details not covered in the New Testament passages.

Who is raptured – Where they are taken – When the Rapture happens – How the Rapture takes place.

In addition, one passage describes what our Resurrection bodies will look like. Watch this Nelson Walters video to find out.

BIBLE PROPHECY BEING FULFILLED IN OUR DAY

PROPHESIED ESCALATING CHRISTIAN PERSECUTION IN THE END TIMES

More than 400 million Christians live in countries that persecute churches — and that persecution is only worsening, according to the leader of a Roman Catholic human rights organization based in Italy.

Iraqi Christians

Alessandro Monteduro, director of ACS-Italia, the Italian chapter of Aid to the Church in Need, told Vatican News in an interview published last week that there were around 416 million Christians who live “in lands of persecution.”

“Unfortunately, all the reports of the charity agencies, but also those reports that involve the states most willing to do so, such as the United States and Great Britain, tell of a tightening of their conditions.”

Monteduro also told Vatican News that in “certain areas of the planet,” such as the continent of Africa, “the suffering of Christian communities is worsening” due to religious intolerance.

“Across Africa, from sub-Saharan Africa to East Africa, there are at least a couple of dozen terrorist organizations that have the ambition, from their point of view, to install caliphates in their territories,” he continued.

He also spoke of violent persecution in India due to local fears that Christian groups are trying to convert Hindus to Christianity, adding that there was “too much indifference to these tragedies.”

Monteduro’s concerns over the rising intolerance of Christianity in Africa were echoed by the ecumenical Christian group Release International and its Persecution Trends 2022 report.

Release International cited multiple African countries, as well as the nations of India and North Korea, as regions that were “of growing concern” for local Christian communities.

In 2021 in Burkina Faso, for example, local Islamic terrorists engaged in a host of attacks on churches, including bombings, school burnings, assaulting places of worship, and murders.

Release International also expressed concern about Afghanistan, which was recently taken over by the Taliban shortly after the U.S. pulled its troops out but left its military equipment.

“In 2022, there is a very real threat of higher levels of violent persecution in Afghanistan,” stated Release International CEO Paul Robinson, as part of the report.

“Our partners tell us that Christians who are unwilling to follow the outward forms of Islam, such as praying at the mosque and saying the shahada, the Islamic profession of faith, will stand out more clearly.”

And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Matthew 24:9-14

COMING PROPHESIED ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

Artificial intelligence is fast becoming a “normal” part of our lives, and in ways, we often don’t even notice until after it’s happened.

Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, and other social platforms are all using artificial intelligence (AI) to discover more about you and your family, and even to gain control of certain aspects of your life. Did you also know that many of the products you purchase use AI to learn more about you? They can track where you are, what you’re doing, even who you’re with.

Will Artificial Intelligence Eclipse Our One True God?

Best-selling author Wallace Henley’s new book, Who Will Rule the Coming ‘Gods’?, offers groundbreaking spiritual insight into these emerging AI technologies. This is a “must-read” book, not only for church and business leaders, but for all of us who are fast becoming dependent on AI, robots, and other forms of advanced technology.

The existential crisis of our age is how technology, specifically AI and robots, is eclipsing our reverence for the transcendence of God. In the rush to create human-helping AI, technologists are making machines that may eventually become our masters. Henley’s new book exposed how some people are already worshiping at the feet of the great god of AI, just as the ancient Philistines once bowed before statues of the idol Dagon.

In this compelling and groundbreaking book, Henley shares about the impending moral and ethical choices we will all soon need to make, as believers in Christ, to hold AI and its creators accountable to the true God. This is all part of the prophesied end-times scenario that leads up to God pouring out His wrath on an unrepentant world.

It is interesting that C.S.Lewis predicted in his book “Abolition of Man” that a group of elites who think of themselves as progressives and (somehow) know what the future of humanity should be and they are determined to make everyone fall into line by following the direction that they dictate.

The World Economic Forum where the global elites meet has already predicted what life for humans will look like after their proposed “Great Reset,” foreseeing the “age of human robots” will come to an end as people will be replaced by technology. Also, the WEF predicted in a 2016 video that a “happy” future would only be possible where individuals no longer owned property.

The following shows some of the reviews of Henley’s book by both religious and scientific leaders.
“This book lays out a comprehensive description of the future world that our godless technological and enormously rich elites envision. But what should be the response of the God-fearing people? That is the important message of this book.”
-Otis Graf, PhD, Aerospace Engineering, NASA Apollo 8 Moon Project, and the Space Shuttle

“A compelling look at a dystopic future controlled by Artificial Intelligence that has transcended above mankind as an all-powerful, all-knowing, and all-present “god”. Wallace Henley examines how technology has changed our culture’s view of God by providing us fingertip access to all the known information in history through our phones and computers. It’s not a stretch of the imagination to see how the journey outlined in this book will result in future AI advancements and technological evolution that will rival and eclipse mankind’s relationship with the One True Living God.”
-Keith Carmichael, Associate Pastor, Second Baptist Church, Houston, Former Captain in USAF and NASA Space Station Design Team

“This book invites readers into a critical conversation surrounding the realities of artificial intelligence, humanity, and godhood. Excellent read!”
-Rachel Leong, Former White House Aide, Legislative Aide, The United States Senate

Henley’s book is a clarion call for believers in Christ to wake up and urge our world to stop letting technology replace our one true God.

PROPHESIED ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT

God has given us 2000 prophecies about the “end times” prior to His return to rule and reign over the nations for 1000 years. It will be a time of intense persecution for Christians so He wants us to be prepared. We need to know He is in complete control of the events and that He is working out His purposes on His earth.

These are Jesus’ own words; note what the Christians are doing despite the persecution; they are preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom of God.

The Bible clearly shows us that there will be a ONE WORLD GOVERNMENT but it isn’t the Beast Empire as most expect. If not, what will this government be and what happens to it that allows the Beast to take control? Watch this Nelson Walters video for the biblical answer. POSTMODERNISM – “INTOLERANT AND HATEFUL CHRISTIANS”

Six members of Congress have condemned Finland for prosecuting a Christian politician who is facing six years in prison for sharing her biblical beliefs on sexuality and marriage, voicing their concern with the top federal religious freedom advisory committee.

Led by Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, the Republican House members sent a letter to Nadine Maenza, the chair of the U.S. Commission on International Religious Freedom, on Wednesday.

They condemned the prosecutions of Parliament Member Päivi Räsänen and Evangelical Lutheran Mission Bishop Juhana Pohjola, which they argue to be “infringements on religious freedom.”

Räsänen has been charged with three counts of ethnic agitation over statements expressing her beliefs about human sexuality and marriage. Pohjola, the bishop-elect of the Evangelical Lutheran Mission Diocese of Finland, has been charged with one count of ethnic agitation for publishing Räsänen’s booklet.

In his address this week at an Alliance Defending Freedom freedom office in Washington, D.C., Pohjola warned that his prosecution illustrates that

The Gospel of Christ is at stake” because of postmodernism and “cancel culture.”

He believes hate speech laws have been unfairly used against him.

“When postmodernism first swept over Western countries, its basic core was a denial of absolute truth. The only truth was that you must allow everyone to have his or her own subjective truth,” Pohjola said. “This hyper-individualism continues, but it has now a different tone. If you are against LGBTQ+ ideology, so-called diversity, equality, and inclusiveness, you are not only considered to be old-fashioned … but rejected as morally evil. This is what the prosecutor general understands her duty to be, to protect fragile citizens and victims from the intolerant and hateful Christians.”

WHEN WILL THE LAST PROPHESIED SEVEN YEARS BEFORE JESUS RETURNS BEGIN?

Will the End Times (70th week of Daniel) begin on Rosh Hashanah? There are a lot of people who think that Rosh Hashanah 2021 is the beginning of the appointed times of the end. Why do so many people associate Rosh Hashanah or Yom Teruah with the beginning of the 70th Week of Daniel, others with the Resurrection, and others with the Rapture?

What is special about the appointed times, the Mo’edim or Feasts of the Lord and what can we learn about Jesus’ return from them? They are dress rehearsals of what is to come on God’s Timetable. The Spring Feasts and Pentecost have already been fulfilled in Biblical prophecy so we can be assured the Fall Feasts will be fulfilled as well. Watch this excellent Nelson Walters video to find out more.

PROPHESIED “END TIMES” FALLING AWAY

George Barna, the lead researcher at the Cultural Research Center, explained in a statement. “’Christian’ has become somewhat of a generic term rather than a name that reflects a deep commitment to passionately pursuing and being like Jesus Christ.”

Of an estimated 176 million American adults who identify as Christian, just 6% or 15 million of them actually hold a biblical worldview, a new study from Arizona Christian University shows.

The study shows, in general, that while a majority of America’s self-identified Christians, including many who identify as evangelical, believe that God is all-powerful, all-knowing and is the Creator of the universe, more than half reject a number of biblical teachings and principles, including the existence of the Holy Spirit.

Strong majorities also errantly believe that all religious faiths are of equal value, people are basically good and that people can use acts of goodness to earn their way into Heaven. The study further showed that majorities don’t believe in moral absolutes; consider feelings, experience, or the input of friends and family as their most trusted sources of moral guidance; and say that having faith matters more than which faith you pursue.

One of the most disturbing results was that most adult US Christians don’t believe Holy Spirit is real. Some 62% of self-identified born-again Christians contend that the Holy Spirit is not a real, living being but is merely a symbol of God’s power, presence or purity. These people obviously do not believe the Bible is God’s Word because it reveals that unless a person is born again with the Holy Spirit, Jesus will say to them on judgement day “depart from me I do not know you”. Jesus told the disciples the Parable of the Ten Virgins to show us what the church will be like in the last days before His return. All were asleep when He came and half were not born again.

Then the kingdom of heaven will be like ten virgins who took their lamps and went to meet the bridegroom. Five of them were foolish, and five were wise... the bridegroom came, and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast, and the door was shut. Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, lord, open to us.’ But he answered, ‘Truly, I say to you, I do not know you.Matthew 25:1-12

With most of the denominational churches in the USA accepting gay marriage and transgender priests it is obvious that these Cultural Research Center figures are an accurate depiction of the church and fits with the Bible’s prophesied apostasy in the last days.

AFGHANISTAN: A PREVIEW OF LIFE UNDER THE ANTICHRIST

Is what we’re seeing in Afghanistan a preview of what life under the Antichrist takeover that we all may experience in the next few years be like? Will the Antichrist take over portions of the world in a blitzkrieg like manner and impose Sharia law, checkpoints, beatings, and executions? Is Afghanistan a warning, almost a parable, to those in the west about what is coming for us? It might be coming soon and prior to the Rapture. So it’s a lesson for every Christian.

In the following video Nelson Walters does an excellent job of looking at prophetic Scriptures in relation to the events unfolding in Afghanistan right now. Nelson will challenge your thinking about scriptures like Daniel 11:21-23.

In his place shall arise a contemptible person (Antichrist) to whom royal majesty has not been given. He shall come in without warning and obtain the kingdom by flatteries. Armies shall be utterly swept away before him and broken, even the prince of the covenant. And from the time that an alliance is made with him he shall act deceitfully, and he shall become strong with a small people.Daniel 11:21-23

NOW IS THE TIME TO LIVE WITH ETERNITY IN VIEW

This catastrophe (Covid 19) is a perfect opportunity for the church to remind people that the kingdoms of this world are not where our hope is found, and that we preach a kingdom that is coming and has come: the kingdom of God with Jesus on the throne. First, Jesus will fulfill the Abrahamic covenant and rule and reign on this earth for a thousand years.

They (resurrected believers) came to life and reigned with Christ for a thousand years. The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is the one who shares in the first resurrection! Over such the second death has no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ, and they will reign with him for a thousand years.Revelation 20:4-6

In this kingdom there is perfect rule, although we are told Jesus and the resurrected saints will need to rule with a “rod of iron” (Rev. 2:27, 19:15) and at the end of the thousand years when Satan is released from the abyss where he has been chained for the thousand years he is still able to raise an immense army to come against Jesus and the saints.

And when the thousand years are ended, Satan will be released from his prison and will come out to deceive the nations that are at the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them for battle; their number is like the sand of the sea. And they marched up over the broad plain of the earth and surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city, but fire came down from heaven and consumed them, and the devil who had deceived them was thrown into the lake of fire and sulphur where the beast and the false prophet were, and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.Revelation 20:7-10

It is only after this final battle will this earth be destroyed with fire. The second resurrection of the rest of the dead (mostly unbelievers) will take place followed by the white throne judgement. It is only then John sees the new heaven and new earth where the saints will dwell not only with Jesus but also our Heavenly Father.

Then I saw a great white throne and him who was seated on it. From his presence earth and sky fled away, and no place was found for them.Revelation 20:11

Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away,..” Revelation 21:1

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.” Revelation 21:2-3

Preface to my book LIVING ETERNAL NOW

The Bible is full of fulfilled prophesy which is testimony of its divine inspiration and inerrancy. It is estimated that as much as 75% of the 2,500 prophesies in the Bible have already been fulfilled, and most of those yet to happen are “last days/end time” events.

How many churches today are preparing their congregations for Jesus’ second coming? Do you realise that there are more prophecies about Jesus’ second coming than His first. The Pharisees and Sadducees did not get it with His first coming, and the church is not getting it, with His second coming, maybe in your lifetime.

“For this reason, you also must be ready; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.” Matt. 24:44

Equipped with the knowledge of the Bible’s “last days” prophecies, we will see many of these events unfold in our time. We will look at these unfolding “end times” events in the last chapter, Discerning the Times. It is an exciting time for a Christian who is prepared to live eternal now. For both the unbeliever and believer alike “great tribulation” is ahead, but the discerning believer understands the times and is prepared.

I would like this book to help equip Christians to fulfil God’s assignment for them in these last days. You will only be able to do that, if you are aware of the times we are in, submit to the indwelling Holy Spirit, have total confidence in God’s Word, and are able to defend it to an unbelieving church, atheists and agnostics.
